Have You Watched the Movie MACHETE and Do You Think It is Accurate ?

I just finished watching the movie Machete and if you have not seen it I highly recommend it but be aware there is a lot of graphic violence and sex scenes (Jessica Alba has a great body) and discusses drug trafficking and political corruption on the border.

What interested me most about the movie is how it accurately portrays what is now happening in Arizona and Texas and it is obvious the playwright did his research.

The basic story is Machete played by Danny Trejo is one tough MF Federale that has been fighting the Mexican drug Cartel and they take it out on him in very personal ways.

Machete tries to leave Mexico and falls in with the Mexican underground that helps Mexicans to get across the border and start a new life.

On the other side of the border is a Senator that is corrupt and is calling for the closing of the border with a big electric fence and shoot on sight private border patrols. The senator is violent and is working with a rag tag bunch of militia with obvious racist views and white supremacy ideology- sound familiar ?

The Senator arranges for machete through another militia goon to assassinate him but it is just a ploy to wound the Senator and make him a hero to all the anti-illegal activists that are carrying signs, flags and yelling at his speeches (tea party) and the assassination attempt is just a way to start a war with the illegal immigrants.

Machete does not know that he was being duped and ends up having to fight for his life against the Senator and militia thugs and ends up working with an ICE agent and the Mexican underground to revenge himself and his people.

It gets deeper as the Senator and militia are in cahoots with the Mexican drug Cartels and the whole scheme is to close the border so that the Senator with help of the white supremacist militia can control the drug trafficking.

I won't give away the ending and while I do not support a violent uprising of the illegal immigrants lets just say in this case it was probably called for.

Now how accurate is that compared with what is happening in Arizona and Texas ?

Russel Pearce is the Arizona Senate leader that designed SB1070 and has direct ties to the AZ Neo-Nazi leader Jt Ready that formed a militia to patrol the border with the intention of killing anyone crossing.

The FBI has identified that the white supremacists are actively working with Mexican drug Cartels to take over the US drug trade and are trying to push out the illegals and seal the border.

Sheriff Arpaio and Pearce have huge land deals in AZ to build the new jails and would make a bundle if SB1070 was passed.

Arpaio and Pearce are both under Fed investigation for corruption, intimidation of judges and public officials and for the handling of the Gifford's shooting.


Watch the movie or watch it again and you will see what is going on in Arizona and Texas and if the Mexicans do decide to rise up watch out for MACHETE!
