Have you served? Your community? Your State? Your Country? Military, Church, Secular, Youth group, Firefighter, Police, Animal Shelter, or other Community Activities?

You!
Add Photos & Videos
I wonder what is that you do to help in your community. Have you done it of your own accord or was it something your were court-ordered to do? f so, have you continued since on your own? Do you help and work with people in your group whether or not you share the same political ideals? Or do you serve your self.

I've just ended a 6 year tenure as Mayor of my little town, 2 years on City Council before that. I was on the volunteer fire department for a couple of years. I was the youth leader in a church for a couple of years once. I have worked with battered women, battered and abused children and youth in general, in several capacities. I used to help several older people here in town with home repair, grocery buying, etc., but they are no longer with us.

I am a Libertarian, I believe in putting MY money(and time) where my mouth is. Not taking from taxpayers to fund my causes. Military, fostering kids and animals. And more, you don't need all the details.

I truly enjoy volunteering, and I will be honest and say it is not entirely altruistic. I do it because it helps my sense of purpose. I loved the military and love I am loving the other ways I can serve.
