I have no problem with John McCain as president. In fact, I think he'd make a pretty good president. I just can't stand the fact that if he dies in office, we would be refering to Sarah Palin as *gulp* the President of the United States. Oh yea sure, his mom's still alive. Whoop dee doo. But that doesn't mean John'll live to be as long as her. For all we know he could croak today!

But, I was pretty impressed when I saw her at the convention

If he wins, maybe he'll survive a term.

I'm still not voting for him. Although Palin in charge would be bad, McCain in charge wouldn't be much of an improvement (and, more importantly, would be NO improvement on the current situation).

The fact that she is so old and has her wits about her bodes well for John McCain. God forbid he wins the election, but if he does, I wish him long life and health because Palin would be a HORRENDOUS president.

I don't care how you cut it, 72 years old is too old to be POTUS. So Mrs. McCain has good genes? You still are not as quick on the draw.....(ooops, bad analogy), you tend to need to take naps, you forget thngs you shouldn't forget, you have less patience, there are more things that aggravate you physically, etc. I know this to be a fact because I am McCain's peer, but younger by some years. My mother lived to be 94, her mother to 96, it didn't help me a bit but to know that living right, eating right would give me some more quality years.

So in answer to your question, lovely as Mrs. McCain is, she can still take a nice long afternoon nap if she gets tired.

Do you have any legal documents to prove that he is "too old to be president"? "Cause, if they don't exist, then obviously, he is not "too old to be president".

Using age against mccain is discrimination-people are living longer and working longer than ever before.

The main point is lack of intelligence and memory.

Yes i did, in the RNC i saw her and she look like she is good shape for a 96 year old

She looks like she could take on a few of those critics and put them in their place w/out breaking a sweat.

I have seen her. When she was introduced at the RNC, she stood up quickly. Weak, old people stand slowly. McCain's genes are strong. Have no fears about him dropping dead on in Feb. '09

Me too! My GrandMothers outlived the GrandDads . My Dad's Mom died at 90 and my Mom's Mom was 82.
Today people are living to 100 to 107 and that is living
longer and longer.One lady's Town was named after her and she passed at 125! So, people are living so much longer than they used to! There are old people that even smoked cigarettes and one was a Musician and his name was Youby Blake.He Died in the 80's at 114 in Baltimore. Other Countries have even older people.... I think, it's amazing and the stories that they can tell you ,are very neat. I Talked to this one lady at 102 and she was amazing! She told me how she wrecked her husbands Model T. and put it back in the garage and he never noticed a scratch! He Died when he was 67 and she was still going strong. They had alot of children and that day we were there her son was flying in from California to visit and he was 82 at the time! My Granny and I ask her. What her secret to longevity was and she said, if there are problems, you can't do anything about don't worry about them! You have to pretty much put them on a shelf and come back to them later. She was totally amazing, and I bet you John McCain's Mom is the same way! There are ways that everybody should handle problems and worrying is not the way! We should all listen to them.Having Faith is the answer.

My paternal Grandmother lived to be 85, and my maternal Grandmother lived to be 93. Paternal Grandfather died in his late 60's, Maternal Grandfather died at 52. Dad died at 69 and mother died at 67. My health pattern is more towards my father's and an Aunts' that died at 72....but I tell my son I will live long enough so that he will get calls from the nursing home saying I've been a troublemaker, just like I used to get from his elementary school, lol!

I know what you mean.Our family health history is close to yours. My Mom died at 37 and my Dad is still living at 73! My husband fears wondering if he'll outlive his dad.He died at 54 and his Mom at 58! Today we're trying to concentrate on healthier eating and doctors know alot more, so I hope we can live longer! For the kids and the grandbabies!They may have to replace a few things ,but ......hope for the best. When God is ready for you he'll let you know.That is what I believe. Only he knows when!

Yes! They should put people's mind at ease. People are living longer today and McCain is not too old . He's Very Savy!He has a Very Keen Mind BetterThan Most, because he thinks before he speaks and he has more knowledge of Government ,Military and the Country's Problems and Issues than OBama will ever have! For OBama to say he's out of touch is quite the contrary! He'll get it on the Net believe me!Brilliant Man,John McCain is and looks like the Apple don't fall far from the tree!
