I finally got a chance to see the film and was extremely well impressed. I would actually want to say something to the critics (most just denouncing knee-jerk):
- This is NOT a 'micheal mooreish' hacky type of film where D'Souza is just begging open-ended questions, editing in 'Anti-Obama' quotes and making a kind of 'Obama = Bad' propaganda.
In fact, I was genuinely impressed how respectful it was of Obama. It was not even so much 'judgmental' as much as going for the angle - good bad or otherwise this is Obama's story.
And what impressed on me far more than any of D'Souzas opinions (or the critics inside) but was actually Obama's own words. Much of the film simply informs you of Obama's own views, words, from his speeches or books.
*and not this Katie Couric style cheap crap where they take a gaffe or Obama stuttering for minutes at a time over a simple question (or 57 states etc),
but these are very well thought-out careful opinions written by Obama.
And it's informative. I do believe too many Americans and Westerners don't fully understand 'anti-colonialism', communism and just what exactly is going on around the world in those contexts.
Maybe one of the most memorable moments is the interview with Obama's half-brother. Won't ruin it but it was ju...

Maybe one of the most memorable moments is the interview with Obama's half-brother. Won't ruin it but it was just excellent and made me think I'd vote for his brother before Obama anyday heh.
Really interesting and I'd encourage anyone who sees themselves as 'centrist' or even 'liberal' and who might be an Obama voter to see this. Seriously. You might be genuinely surprised it is not what you feared and actually quite informative if nothing else.
I saw it Friday..It was good....nothing that we don't already know about him and how he was raised,.but it made it crystal clear why he hates America...and that is what people need to consider...his ideology came from his upbringing, his mentors, his mother, his father, and their views of the world....a MUST SEE
Its total conjecter but,it could be a strong possiblity.I'll wait for the TV version.Knowing
what I already know about this zero orf a person.I don't think anyone can tell me anything
I don't already know.
No, but I hope this movie get's some good play time at the theaters and is then immediately released on DVD to rent, buy or download from the Internet..
It is my sincere hope that it goes "Viral", finding it's way into every home in America!!
Ha Ha !! Yeah, I know....but I can dream can't I? :o)
☺
ONLY because it's not at any of our San Diego theaters. We'll be going as soon as it starts playing out here--even though we already know the facts that prove him to be an anti-American Marxist wretch.
it was more like Dreams FROM my father...look at what his ideology was...it was passed on to barry.....you should see it, that is, IF your mind is open enough to view it Gregory
Jews, like most people, seem to be split between a left and right wing.
I'd guess 70% still vote democratic, but when it comes to supporting mass immigration and support for Israel I'd guess each of these two broad issue will get the support of 80% of Jews. In other words in each case 80% will see third world immigration into the u.s. as good for Jews and U.S. support for israel as good for Jews.
If there were no miniorities in the U.S. other than Jews they would be the sole, stand alone and thus stand out targets of xenophobia. It's better for them to be hidden in a huge herd of minorities than to be the ONLY minority.
As to support of Israel they see the Jewish state as a refugee of last resort for all Jews around the world.
I can't argue with their logic in either case.
As to socialism I think there they are wrong, at least the 70% who vote democratic are wrong on the socialism issue.
It speaks to the choices voters have come Nov. They can either go with one party that condones the mentality and welcomes with open arms a senate candidate that believes rape can be defined as "legitimate" depending or the circumstances.
Or they can go with the other party that doesn't seek to define certain kinds of rape as "legitimate". And if an opinion hit piece like 2016 is all you listen to to make your decision you are really not paying attention to the issues!
the guy has pulled out of the race; how about Obama and his views on late term abortion Obama has consistently refused to support legislation that would define an infant who survives a late-term induced-labor abortion as a human being with the right to live. He insists that no restriction must ever be placed on the right of a mother to decide to abort her child. On March 30, 2001, Obama was the only Illinois senator who rose to speak against a bill that would have protected babies who survived late term labor-induced abortion. Obama rose to object that if the bill passed, and a nine-month-old fetus survived a late-term labor-induced abortion was deemed to be a person who had a right to live, then the law would "forbid abortions to take place." Obama further explained the equal protection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment does not allow somebody to kill a child, so if the law deemed a child who survived a late-term labor-induced abortion had a right to live, "then this would be an anti-abortion statute." Blood thirsty A$$; don't you think?
You have obviously never been around any pregnant women, ob/gyn Dr's or ever lived in the real freaking world given that ignorant statement you just made!
let me tell you what I believe Queenie.I have a daughter; and a granddaughter; me-1; you-0 late term abortion for the sake of birth control is murder me-2-you-0 Obama was and is a supporter of not allowing a fetus to live after a botched abortion me-3;you-0 And it is HIS VIEWS; not mine.. me-4;you-0 Game;set and match
Please start your own question about Akin. He is an embarassment to true conservatives. This extremist man is as bad on the right as Obama's extremists are on the left.
P.S. I not a fan of equivilancy for equivilancy sake. What instances can you point to from the left side of the political spectrum that is akin to Mr. Akin's recent statement. I would honestly like to have an objective conversation with someone that doesn't share my personal political philosphy.
But I've heard of it, and frankly I could not be more opposed to BHO's "re-"election, so it would just be preachin' to the choir. Not to say I wan't see it, but NOTHING would sway from voting AGAINST 0beyme!!

Guess I know why he doesn't like Obama, not the reasons I don't.
Democrats have historically been pro-Palestinian and anti-Semitic.

Pro-Obama people should watch it, but they won't. They like to live in their ignorance. They're comfortable there.
Question: HAVE YOU AND THE WOMEN IN YOUR LIFE SEEN TODD AKIN?!?
