Have you ever seen something in a tabloid that you were pretty sure was true?

I saw a human interest story in a reputable(as much so as any of them are) newspaper about these two sisters who had a history of certain types of cancer in their family, so they had the organs in question removed. Then years later I saw the same story(I knew it was the same because the pictures were of the same girls as in the newspaper story), in a tabloid, I forget which one. I was shocked.

When I was a little kid I saw one of them in the store with 'Bat baby found in cave' and I remember wondering if that was where Batman came from.reply
