I 've see that happen frequently. Not only do they gang up on you, but they all also block you from being able to respond. IMO if you need to call upon your friends to support your opinion then maybe you shouldn't be posting words you can't defend by yourself.

I've been attacked lots, but not by a "pack." Even if several people attack the same comment, I don't get the feeling that they're joining each other except fortuitously.

One of my favorite common denominators is the worst of them can't admit a mistake. They can't apologize, even if you point out that they replied to you by mistake! Head-smackingly unbelievable. Another is people who think they're in charge, and if you don't do what they tell you to do, they block you. So pre-schooler.

But it makes me feel a little better because that makes me think that they know that they can't argue with me when they are on their own.
It does irritate me though. I don't really like being called something foul by someone I wasn't even having a conversation with.

Its a common practice used by certain groups here, when one of their members is losing an argument they'll call out for help and their buddies will flood the thread usually insulting the person and posting childish graphics then telling each other how great their comments are.

Sorta reminds you of high school, doesn't it? People running in packs, insult and then run and hide. I just had a pack come after me yesterday and simply walked away from them. The thing is, if they only want to hear from their own choir, there are many sites where they can go. I simply put off to hysteria and frustration right now. But then if I had the choices they've had to make these last few months I might be a tad bit paranoid myself.

Sounds to me like you did the right thing. There was a time when I enjoyed the back and forth banter complete with insults but lately its grown old. I'm tired of making comments I later regret because I let someone get under my skin.

I sometimes slip up and revert back to old form but I'm trying to do better:)

You described me to a 'tee'. I dislike getting down in the mud with those who want nothing but to personally insult. Its never been in my nature to abuse anyone with words and I feel bad when I'm reeled into a slug fest. I am finding it easier to walk away when there is no chance for even a half-way decent discussion or debate.... I succeed sometimes too.

I doubt there is anything anyone could call me I haven't heard a hundred times already. According to many people on this site I'm a sinner who's going to burn in hell for all eternity, a pervert, a pedophile, the cause of societies downfall, and every possible gay slur you or I could think of. All in all it's more boring than offensive at this point. :^D

there was a group of liberals on here not so long ago i called the wolf pack. they would hunt in a group. and down rave or spam any opposing comment. most have been deactivated due to violating TOS.

its one thing to have a large group take a issue with something you post its another to have a large group do it to EVERYTHING you post. back then the big thing was down raves instead of blocking. they would go from post to post just down rave every conservative answer. never posting anything just down raving.
