See the purpose of government is not to equalize the finincial inequality of the different economic classes. The purpose of government is for the protections of its people and for fair trade within and from outside of this country. To settle difference between the states in reguards to resouces and supplies. and to maintain interstate commers (spelling). To regulate and pervent unfair monopolies in all retail and commercial and utities. To protect the people from unfair labor pratice and unexceptable toxic polittants. To ensure that the individual rights are not out wayed by Corperate greed, or state or local corruption.

But see this is the problem is that many do not understand, and that is what is the purpose of federal state and local governments.
Government is not responsible for feeding the hungry in our out of this country, those are individual responsiblities, government is not responsilble for housing the homeless again these are individual responsibiltities.
Some welfare is needed in our society yes, but the system should not promote life time welfare as it currently does.
Some limited universal medical care for children is needed. but that does not mean life time medical care.
There are many areas at all levels of government that need to have some form of limitations to the berucausy and corruptions within.
Just a few littie tid bits, most law enforcement officer do not know the laws, they are instructed on the enforcement of limited understanding of laws. Simple said cops do not know the law, they know what they were told about the law. But the law and codes of that state are not taught to them.
Gov't is so big, it's swamping our country, not only by drowning us in debt by overspending for every pet project, or friends' project, or creating agencies for friends-all on the taxpayers dime, or micro-managing EVERYTHING, & creating new laws constantly, stacked on the old ones, & on the older ones, infinitum..
Obamacare was 2600 pages of legal jargon given to Congress with only 3 days to look at it, before voting!
If there should be any new criminal law, that should be it-have enough flippin time to read these documents, & have legal analysis if necessary, to understand it, or make it be written in layman's terms, to be easily understood, to begin with.
When our country was first born, they rebelled against the taxation of Britain, & paid dearly to do so.
Now, we are being taxed to death! Income tax didn't exist before WWII. I'm wondering what taxes DID exist prior to WWII...

In refernce t ObamaCare, That I am against, 2600 pages of wording that most lawyers and doctors could not understad what comes to mind s keep is simple stupid. Most state code/law is less then 2600 pages.
This country was founded on many ideas, the selling point on it according to history was the tax issue. But the truth is there were other issues, mostly living under king's rule and being treated as non citizens of Great Brition.
Income tax came into play I believe after WW1 was a suppost to be a limited time duration for income tax. To the best of my knowledge no other laws hav been passed to legalize income tax sense that time.
