When you look at the bennies and expectations....absolutely! Our "elected" officials are put in place to represent US!! It was not meant to be a life long appointment. I'm for term limits and forcing them to serve the people.

There are more rich democrats in washington than republicans, and they have rich friends they serve themselves and thier friends first then throw a few welfare dollrs at the people as a distraction.
    http://www.rollcall.com/50ric...
    Notice # 3 - # 9 are democrats and 27 out the 50 richest congressmen are democrats.

That may be true but the fact is the rich democrats still tend to work for the common person. I know Ted Kennedy was a champion of the middle class. It is generally not the democrats who push for socialism for the rich. That is generally a republican plan.

Well what else do you call the transfer of wealth from the middle class to the very rich? Your pathetic attempt at an insult just shows that you have no case. So typical of phony conservatives.

Bailing out banks and auto companies has been done by every democratic president including Carter and Clinton. That is serving the rich not the middle class.

Every dam one of them. It's time to start over. It's time to dump these people on their ass and start over. It's not our system that is broken. It's the hearts, minds, morals of the ones that are running it.

Absolutely! But it's our fault. The people let govt have all the power without checks and balances. We elected them believing what they said during campaigns, then complained when the promises never happened. But that was all we did. It took Bush going rouge and bailing out private business to get our attention enough to do anything. Then it took an Obama to get us fired up enough to mass together and say enough!

Um people were fired up before Obama, I think he and this Congress has added fuel to thisfire.

That was my point, I apologize if I didn't express myself correctly.. People were fired up, but it wasn't until the end of the 2nd term of the Bush administration that many of the people were willing to do more than complain about it. After Obama took office, the fuel to the fire you mentioned, it brought out even more who were tired of being burned. while I believe the majority of Americans are fed up and holding a closer scrutiny on govt, I've already noticed some have gone back to the old lazy ways. We simply cannot afford to do that if we are to regain our country as it was designed. Thanks for your input!

I agree, it's time to respark the fire under those who want to continue to cut spending, demanding a budget and calling for the removal of those who serve themselves only.

We need professional help, not contributor appointees who want to destroy Americans rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, non of which come from the government!
