Has the Republican party really split into two irreconcilable groups: the "High Church" philosophical conservative, like William Kristol and Condi Rice and the "Low Church" faith-based conservative, like Sarah Palin and Rush?

I think it's more the fiscal conservatives vs. the social conservatives.
