They virtually guaranteed Obama's election by putting forth the idea that if you didn't vote for him, racism was your only possible reason. Never mind that he had been part of Illinois politics, which we all know are shadier than a grove of redwoods, And that he came from Chicago, which was also legendary for such practices. Despite that, racism could be the only reason ANYONE wouldn't want him for President! Riiiiiiiiiiight.
