The
rest of America should take note - the city that has just given itself
the power to micromanage your health (and thus every aspect of your
existence) cannot even keep its own lights on after a summer storm.

It's still got a long ways to go. If you haven't noticed....political tensions are at a breaking point in this nation. It's tense. I'll be surprised if something doesn't come from it. I think in terms of Revolution we're still in the pre-stages of it.

I hear a lot of whining and breastbeating and emotionally charged rhetoric..... But I see nothing even remotely similar to a "revolution".....

By now hopefully...many who supported the tea party will have figured out that 99% of the politicians who pandered to them merely did so to clinch votes....like Rubio, and Scott, and some others....

The democrats, or as I refer to them.... "The party of who the hell knows what's going on"... are just as bad.....

This country needs at least one party comprised of people who actually believe in the country, support its principles....and aren't a self serving pack of miscreants who kiss babies then suck the life out of everything in sight.....no, not vampires...LEECHES, professional leeches....aka politicians......

Until such time as the two parties get their collective heads out of their collective rectums, this country is in for a bad ride...

Just think....once again you will have the privilege of voting for the lesser of two evils.

"Until such time as the two parties get their collective heads out of their collective rectums, this country is in for a bad ride... "

Impossible. In my view the public should quit supporting the two major "Parties", vote Libertarian or Constitutional Party and make the Dems and Reps totally unimportant in elections. That should straighten up both parties - and it would let ALL political parties know we mean business.

I agree, I guess my wording was not clear enough,,,I was referring to the membership of the two parties...not the organ itself. The straight ticket voting bots have no idea how lame and foolish they are...falling for a few months of baby kissing rhetoric tailored to make them feel all warm and smarmy....

We also need to eliminate the electoral college...so that the one who gets the most votes wins period.

One thing that would help is bringing abut a mindset that the esteem level of any elected official is lower than that of a rag picker, not the middle earth quasi royalty they see themselves to be....

I believe you are right. I read comments on numerous sites, and many, many people are livid about this farce we call "GOVERNment" - all of us now see that things are NOT going to get better. They are going to get a LOT worse. I just hope we don't wait too late to stop the total annihilation of America.
