No, the comment still raises questions about a potential bias

She's a racist. But who do you expect an illegal alien that isn't eligible to be PotUS to nominate?

    She's bigoted.

Obviously. And really full of herself.

Yes, she has made it clear that she'll be faithful to the law.

When is it racist to speak of your own race? This racist crap is getting ridiculous. Most people are not racist unless you say noticing someone that looks or acts different from you is racist? Because of those that are racist the rest of us have to pay by being in fear of saying something wrong, or that we didn't mean that way..

She is not a racist and made the statement in a joking manner to a Latino audience. Her record is clean and indicates no bias of any nature. Her decisions have always been based on the law.

She is a person educated far better than most. So, yes, she has explained the issue far better than most would ever do so. However, she may not have explained it to your liking and that is fine too. It just doen't mean she is wrong. What would this world be if all was pale.

"What would this world be if all was pale." - - is a question and should be followed by a question mark.
The answer to your question is: non-racist....with no excuse for anybody to call anybody a racist. So, there you go. I'm tired of the excuses and compromises as well as the acceptance of mediocrity as the 'norm'.

What she said was basic truth. You can't read or say something without your life experience influencing your opinion. Will she try to apply law rather than truth? I think so. Nobody ever said justice and truth were the same thing.

I think she actually showed how predjuice she really is. A supreme court justice is only concerned about one thing. Is this law or decision constitutional in its narrowest application.
  • BillMurray 2009/08/12 14:12:20
Yes, she has made it clear that she'll be faithful to the law.

Yes, she has. Put it to bed. She is on the court now.

You're absolutely correct - she answered the question - about as truthfully as Obama answers his questions. Remember, they're both scumbag lawyers and are used to getting paid to lie convincingly so as to represent their clients to the best of their ability. As for Sodomizer - karma is a MOFO. She'd better keep that in mind when making future decisions as a member of SCOTUS.

Great question but answer is simple: her now famous statement is known to have been utter by her more than once - thus, she's either a simpleton who has verbal diarrhea or says things she's thought about. In either case, she should not be trusted to say she really didn't mean what she said. A dangerous mind on the wrong side of the fence. America can do better.
