Has Sodahead allowed itself to be taken over by hate speech?

it's an opinion website. if you don't like what a person says then some tight ass idiot will think it is hate, deal with it.

My understanding of Sodahead is a place where a person may come to express their opinion, listen to others of the same or differing opinions. Where some get it wrong by my thoughts, is they seem to come here to PROVE they're right, and if all don't bow down to THEIR godliness, then they try to smear the alternate view into the ground. They resort to name calling, and totally childish ( and I love true childishness from a true child ) tantruming. , These bullies, feel they have the right to bully or belittle anyone of a differing viewpoint, not realizing that some may be new to expressing themselves, and their cruelly intended remarks can crush. If you want to beat someone up, go stand in front of a police station,and end up inside where others will show you what stiffling really feels like from the other point of view.
And I really can't stand those that place blame on persons of faith. If some find out you are faith evolved , they blame the problems of the whole world on you and ram everything down your throat. Sorry, I already gargle twice a day, and what your shoving tastes like puke, and poisoned puke at that.
Let people live, let people express, let people debate. None of these are fighting.

I have seen hateful posts from both liberals and conservatives, atheists and just about everybody of any religion, race, color, creed. When will people learn how to express their opinion without being hateful and calling others names.
I hate hate speeches and people should be nicer to others online.

I have rarely run into any hate speech and I typically ignore it, unless it's aimed at me of course.

People get on here to ask/answer questions and surveys, and also express their opinions about them, good or bad.

Personally, I think those that have the time to post hateful things here have way too much time on their hands and probably should use that time to reintegrate into society. I would like to think that these kinds of people are nice in person but I doubt they have much contact with the outside world.

No. What makes this place great is that there is free speech. Remember that what makes this country great is free speech. I may not like what many people write but I would fight tooth and nail for thier right to say it!

There are always a few bad apples but that's life.
remember - Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer.
We will know who the bad people are and what they are doing.

It does seem like more complaints filter to the top instead of any type of solution to everyone's angst.

It is human nature to complain versus solution finding.

The indiscriminate enforcement of the TOS has and apparently always will be "just one of those things" on Sodahead.

The market of ideas, one such as SH, will go through periods of anger(election years, shocking news stories) but all in all it moves towards peace. Most of us are perfectly civil, just opinioned. I can get mean but usually only in situations that involve unsubstantiated claims about my religion, personal attacks, and racism.

The "left" and the "right" have both allowed hate speech to permeate their thoughts and poison their mind. There are many hateful and abusive members of SH; One good example is "Che- PWNED Cons" (just look at his more recent "polls" and you'll know). I personally think that Che should be banned from SodaHead, not for exercising his free speech, but for continually posting hateful and abusive content.

And is a serial blocker too. Cannot stand the fact that other folks have differing opinions.

At the age of 48, you'd think he would've moved out of his parent's basement long ago.

It appears there are many frustrated people on this forum whose lives aren't playing out as they believe they should. They need a crutch to bolster them and so... SODA, where they can take control behind a monitor . Needing to vent and unable to lash out and criticize/ belittle in real time (life), they can so safely behind a computer monitor. Take away SODA and like forums, they would have abandonment issues.

My personal opinion is most of the peope on this particular forum have esteem issues. My opinion, nothing more.

People do get nasty sometimes but I do not think SH is too bad. I have been on worse sites.

Sodahead should have a feature to report poll's and posts that are hateful. Such a simple feature would clean up much of the hate. You can have an opinion without being hateful.

They do. At the bottom of each poll and when you hover over the reply button, a little blue flag appears to report the post or poll. One of the choices for reporting is "Hateful Content".

Probably all of these somewhat, mostly The Left, I think, but I don't notice it that much, simply because I block those who deserve it.

All the hate speech comes from the Christians......and only babies complain about hate speech. Only a religious Wack job would ask this question and give unfair discriminatory answers or agree with them.
