With all the news about gay marriage and whatnot, I'm beginning to wonder if there is a war being waged against the traditional family. Please be honest in your answers.

If anything, it's more about people finally being able to be who they are and not have to worry about everyone wanting to assault them. Gay people don't have to pretend to be straight anymore, and do what everyone wants of them. They can be themselves. The only thing they can't do is marry in every state.

NO but the Rabid Radical Religious Reich has declared war on the rest of society demanding that they kowtow to their dogma, doctrines and beliefs concerning "the basic civil right" of "the civil contract of civil marriage" being governed by their "religious rite of marriage" dictates.

No, society has not declared war on the traditional family. But, they have made room for different kinds of families. Just because it's not traditional doesn't mean it's not as valid as a traditional family. It's all about loving and caring for each other and building a life together whether it's traditional or not.

No, there is no "war" against the "traditional family". We, as a society, are simply being more open to allowing people to make the choices they want in terms of intimate associations and children. The fact that some choose differently from you doesn't indicate that there is a "war" on your choices or preferences.

I think our culture is very spoiled and we are long since from being in survival mode like many third world countries thus we are in a selfish mode. Me first everything and everyone else is secondary. I want the child as a possession but I don't want to nurture it. What I want today is not what I want tomorrow.

People are merely giving other's the same rights and protections and allowing them to be who they are.
As for gay marriage I don't think many realize that they're trying to legalize secular marriage it has nothing to do with any religion and in no way forces it on anyone whatsoever, so in my opinion people opposed to it because of their religous beliefs should realize they're breaching the seperation of church and state and are the ones trying to wage war on society.
