Has Samsung boosted its profile in the tech world?

duuuuuuuuuuuh. what a dumb question

Eventually people will get sick and tired of the monopoly Apple has in the tech world and Samsung knows this. They know they have to be aggressive in their push to keep their spot in the tech world. Look at Microsoft. People are sick of them. This is why more people are using Linux and Unix instead of Windows. This is why Windows 8 is a dud. I believe Samsung has a good chance of rising up in the tech world long as they hold fire to the feet of Apple.

They're doing well enough for Apple to take notice and trying to block their products from being sold.

Samsung has already overtaken Apple in the smartphone market,they knocked Sony off the top leading TV manufacturer and they continue to innovate.

As an Iphone user I must say the rise in sales has been impressive. It is a good phone.

they will pass Apple with new and more affordable phones..Will pass everyone in technology..

I have bought 3 Samsung Galaxy Tab II 7", A topnotch gaming Laptop and 3 Samsung TV's. Their TV screens and outstanding, also on the tablet.

Yes, without question. And I say that as an avid apple fan. Competition will only result in better products for everyone at better prices.
But be careful Samsung. In your quest to become the number one seller of big screen TVs a few years ago, you lost your way and quality suffered. The third Samsung LCD we bought in 2010 was so piss poor, we had to return it and look elsewhere.

I work for att. I have noticed an increase in samsung over apple.

I've always known Samsung to be a tech leader. They are a HUGE company. Besides, if you know TVs you know that Samsung is one of the best.

If they are making money all the power to them. Honestly, I couldn't tell you who made my phone without looking.

I would say so, Im still for Apple though.

I'm a huge fan of Samsung and their products.I own phones,TV's, a few tablets floating around my house too..oh and am typing on a Samsung laptop right now.They produce quality affordable products.I've found them the most reliable since IBM sold out it's person tech items to Lenova

The lawsuit was such BS they all steal from each other. Add the trial was held in Silicon Valley jeez that ruling was in the bag for Apple.

I'm a computer tech by trade. So, I guess I count as a member of the tech community, albeit a rather low profile member.

I used to own a Samsung Glide. It was sh*t. It was flat out unusable. I swore I'd never own another Samsung product.

Long story short, the hype over the Galaxy S3, combined with the great deal my GF got me, convinced me to give that phone a shot. I LOVE it. It works great, It looks great, I don't have a single complaint about it.

So, in my eyes at least, Samsung has definitely raised it's profile.

They're innovative. Unlike Apple, their products are flexible which suits individual needs while retaining high quality. I like their computer monitors as well.

Apple got to greedy. They wanted you to pay a high price for everything. For extra memory you had to pay a extra couple hundred bucks. I increased my memory on my note 2 for around 20.00 (memory card from walmart). Also they never really upgraded the phone (compared to the galaxy s2/3 and the note 1/2). They got to comfortable.....

I love the Galaxy SIII. AT&T; even said that people were returning their iPhone 5's for the SIII. Then again, the iPhone is a piece of crap. ;)

Samsung is far better than Apple. I use Nexus 7, and Galaxy S II and love them both.

Which is great for consumers. Without competition, companies tend to avoid upsetting the apple cart, which basically means stagnate. The only problem is, you might want a new phone every 6 months.

Beating the IPhone is a pretty big accomplishment

I'm debating on the Note II or waiting till Galaxy 4 comes out in the spring. Decisions decisions!

one that has a lot of built in capability that is helping me as well . .
(the SIII is what I have .. it actually has a lot going for it in terms of accessibility for the disabled communities)

To be honest... Its the awesome new Galaxy SIII and Note II THAT got them the big bucks...

Let me post here a first hand testimony to the Galaxy III phone. TMobile advertised they would give a "free" phone for a two year contract of services. I bought one, paid $200 which was to be rebated, making the net zero cost. After a month I realized the damned phone was a nightmare of mistaken programming and most absurd power outages. I really didn't want to know temperatures in 300 cities around the world each time I made a call. I just wanted the phone to ring when someone called me, which it didn't. So, I read the pack of papers the young woman stuffed in the bag along with the phone. There was attached to the service contract a "finance agreement" for a $600 Galaxy III telephone, $200 down, $400 to pay at $20 per month. The local store says "Sorry, we can only sell you another phone that will work, but you can't return that one even though we know it is and always was defective. We sold hundreds of them".

DON'T BUY ONE OF THEM. IF YOU HAVE A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE TO MINE, PLEASE WRITE ME A PRIVATE MAIL TO MY SH ACCOUNT. I'VE YET TO CALL THE
LOCAL PROSECUTING ATTORNEY TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, BUT WILL DO SO TOMORROW.

It is hard to believe that companies have to defraud the public with something so popular and with such a small cost and 600% profit margin at the advertised sales price. So, off to
Court and hope the Judge bought one from TMobile.

Did you buy it from T-Mobile itself? Or was it through a 3rd party vendor?

T-Mibile was the vendor.

Read an article yesterday about the 5 companies America hates. T-mobile was one of them.

I will have to find that article and use it as evidence when I take them to trial.
