Has President Obama Aged Badly?

I was looking at his recent speech, the one he did yesterday and I thought about how much he has aged compared to how he looked when taking office. I went back through Sodahead and found some other comments about him, by people not so fond of the President. They have said he does nothing, plans not to do anything and so on...but then I wonder if that is true why has he aged so dramatically. Of course I don't expect to see these people come and comment, they're too busy making this day about them.

Stress will do that to you.....that and trying to keep everyone in the whole world happy....which is impossible.

Imagine how much stress he's under.
Like Lady Jules said, he's probably trying his hardest to keep everyone happy, and everyone wants different things. Everyone depends on him to make everything okay, and when things don't go the way they want them to he gets blamed.. whether it's his fault or not.

Yeah - he's aged quite a bit. Sort of reminds me of Carter - who had a huge smile when he started. Same as Obama, and Obama also had an implacable face. Then by the end, Carter was grimacing - Obama is angry. It is very interesting.

I think the poor guy is honestly just trying to help, probably not going about it the best way, but doing what he things is best. I can't imagine all the stress he's going through in trying to clean up Bush's mess and the rest of our countries problems, which just keep leading to more. Stress has not been good to him.

Yeah it's in his book, same a GW Bush. He was a coke lover more so then Obama and am alcoholic. Something I know about from having one in my family. I love Laura Bush though, such a strong woman to have stuck with him all through it. I admire her.

I never liked Bush but faced with the choices the Dems gave us, he was the lesser of two evils on two occasions. To his credit, he gave up the coke and the booze before he became POTUS.

I grew up in NA, so I can definitely sympathize with your having an addict in your family. Clearly I don't pay enough attention to politics, otherwise I'm sure I would have picked this up. And yes, definitely have to admire Laura.

If you get the opportunity to view some of the earlier news footage of him (before the MSM was alerted to this so they could avoid recording/filming it), watch the hand action in the vicinity of his nose. It is characteristic of one who has done/is still doing, cocaine. My guess is he's still at it, and, of course there IS precedence for it: Clinton was doing it right up until his heart surgery.

And I totally agree with your assessment. What has aged the President is his absence of idealistic hopes and dreams. It has been replaced by the reality of human nature...it is hard to change ugly hate greed and negativity.

I don't know, I don't see him much on TV. I remember how much people remarked about how Tony Blair had aged after being Prime Minister of the UK. So if Obama last 9 year in power he will probable go the same way, if he keeps his hair that is :)
