Are our men equipped for war turning around the Afghan scenario with a surge in troops? Are we losing 700,000 jobs a month? Have banks repaid TARP? Is Dow at 8000 or 12,500? Is GM bankrupt or profitable? Was Haiti saved? Were tornado ravaged areas immediately given major disaster status? Did we wait for money like Exxon Valdez or did BP give up 20 billion upfront? Did we lose over 25,000 casualties, spend 2 trillion to rid the world of a dictator killing his people (Iraq), or no casualties, spend 2 billion to rid the world of a dictator killing his people (Libya)? Do conservatives think progressives thought they voted for a messiah? Do conservatives expect a messiah as president when he's human doing a decent job?

All but 13 of the 288 GOP members of Congress have signed Norquist’s pledge. That means 275 GOP members of Congress have signed Norquist's pledge.

Please show me where on that article you posted that 'all but 288 GOP members of Congress signed that pledge".
  • Diane debrarae 2011/07/21 18:32:58

All but 13 GOP members signed it, NOT "all but 288 GOP members signed it."

That means only 13 GOP member didn't sign it and 275 GOP members signed it.

    Here's a link.

Excuse me but what does a 'no new taxes pledge' have to do with the bull crap 'made up' pledge you 'say' the 275 members signed?

Again give me the LINK to the PLEDGE YOU SAY .........they signed, and not a link you didn't even bother to read before YOU POSTED IT!
  • Diane debrarae 2011/07/23 21:40:16 (edited)
    Diane
That IS the pledge that they signed. The pledge was signed to Norquist, who is an antisemite. He won't even allow them to close loopholes.

I read the ENTIRE PLEDGE, and YOU ARE EITHER deliberately LYING ..........or YOU DID NOT READ THE PLEDGE!

And IF you didn't know the actual CONTENT (which I doubt) I strongly suggest that you should actually READ the LINKS you PROVIDE!

Lying about what? Go back and read what I said. I said they signed a pledge to Grover Norquist, who is anti-Israel and antisemitic. The pledge was not to raise taxes or close loopholes.

Again the pledge YOU linked to has nothing to do with the bull 'you say' they signed!

In the original link you provided to CPAC ..........the LA times reporter says the republicans signed a pledge supporting Anti Semitism. I raved you on that one because you actually posted a link .......although it was a 'shady' one from a LA times reporter.

    http://www.sodahead.com/unite...

And when I asked you to POST the actual pledge .........you posted a Newsmax link which is a No New Taxes pledge having Notihng to do with the allegations you are making against the GOP!

    http://www.sodahead.com/unite...

Again I 'invite' you to READ the links you 'say' support your fake allegations.

I never said Grover Norquist's pledge had anything to do with Israel or the Jews. But Norquist is anti-Israel and antisemitic.

WOW, I don't know where you get your hateful view of people, but just because Norquist was “caught on tape” arguing that bigotry towards anyone, including Muslims, should not be tolerated. He is therefore Anti-Semitic? How's there on your planet? Earth's is great.
  • Diane Rodney 2011/07/31 14:57:54

I don't have a problem with Muslims. I have a problem with Grover Norquist.

Norquist held an event at a CPAC conference called:

"You've Been Lied To: Why Real Conservatives are Against the War on Terror."

Its message was that "real conservatives" don't support the war on terror because it is a creation of the "Israeli lobby."

I might warn you, you and your Obot minions have worn out the race card, the hate card, the extremist card, the name calling card. All you have is deflection to keep from being seen for you REALLY are. The very things you accuse all others of being.

A majority of the Jews in this country are liberals or at least they vote liberal consistently.
  • Diane Rodney 2011/08/03 03:02:05 (edited)

That's true. That's because Jews have a conscience. However, generally, the ones who are the most gung-ho on Israel are conservative Jews. In fact, the Israel lobby is backing the Republican candidates. That doesn't mean that most Jews will vote for them, though. I won't.

Obama received 78% of the Jewish community's vote. But, that was then (2008). Today that is shifting due to the upsurge of the Democratic party's new found love with all things Muslim and the embracing of Hamas and the Radical extremism of Anti Jewish groups worldwide and at home. I have never understood why the Jewish community support the Liberal agenda anyway. They are conservative in every other way but their political voting record.
  • Diane Rodney 2011/08/03 03:35:04

No, we are not conservative. Most of us are social and fiscal liberals. As for Israel, many of us are in favor of a two-state solution.

That may be, but NOT back to the 1967 borders. That would be insane. For several reasons the '67 borders are not acceptable. One is the security reason. The '67 borders are indefensible. Two, there has been way too much Jewish blood spilled for what they have built over the generations. The vast majority of the land is historically Israeli going way back before the British named everyone who resided in that area Palestinians. Biblically, it belongs to the Jewish People, archeologically it can be proven the Jews were there in greater numbers then any other "Civilized" people. Personally I think that Israel's neighbors are jealous because Israel isn't a 6th century, uneducated, backward society like most all of them are.

WITH LAND SWAPS. This is the same thing Bush called for. Actually Bush called for a return to 1949 armistice lines. It's the same thing every president in recent history has called for.

Okay, that was pretty much a waste. I read two texts of Bush's.
President Bush's Draft Roadmap to Israeli-Palestinian Peace
    October 15, 2002

George Bush Jr: Palestinian Reform and Palestinian State
    June 24, 2002

In both of those the only mention of a border was June 4, 1967 Israeli Borders. If you have something different, please share.

Like I said, that would not be acceptable to me. Israel has fought for and won much more then what they have kept in fending off their enemies.

TARP was given by Bush. The Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 was signed by Bush. The deficit was increased because of lower revenues because fewer people are working.
