Remember when Donald Trump was the GOP's most likely presidential candidate?

Good times, good times.

But Reuters reports that his time may be up.

A new poll released on Tuesday suggested the real estate mogul and celebrity TV show host may have peaked, as he ponders whether to run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. The survey by the Public Policy Polling organization said Trump has fallen from first place in last month's poll to tie for fifth this month, barely ahead of the seventh-place candidate.

Does this mean The Donald is out of aces?

It's tough to tell at this point, when everyone from Newt Gingrich to -- what was his name? Herman Cain? -- has hopped onto the presidential bandwagon.

I never like him in the first place. To have all that power to bully people around. If I had all the power, I would be trying to help people find jobs, instead of kicking them out the door. Maybe give some training first, or give them something else.

This is only what appears to be inherent from the recent poll. The results of presidential elections can be very unpredictable, as everybody knows! Don't be so simple minded, people-even though I am not American! Some people are saying that obama has it in the bag for killing Osama bin Laden-but we can't tell. So you cant say that this guy is going to the doghouse.

if trump runs, he will be obama's biggest nightmare. he will force all the vetting that the press let obama slide on in 2008. obama isn't who america thinks he is, and i know it, and trump knows it, and trump is in a position to let every one else in on the truth about obama and his origins, benefactors, and crimes. trump can grab the lead story any day he chooses.

I like Donald Trump, he seems like a good man, however, he has absolutely NO experience in politics (maybe that's a good thing?). I contemplated voting for him but changed my mind, he is simply too rich to even begin to understand the average Joe's money problems, unemployment & security problems. I was hoping Huckabee would change his mind & run but looks like that is not going to happen. My pick now is Romney.

Don't forget that Trump has also filed for bankrupcy several times and would probably have some good ideas on how to get our country out of this financial slump.

The problem is that our government can not easily file bankruptcy. Trump gets to walk away and start over when he screws up. We as a country have to dig our way out which will be much harder than it was to dig our way in.
