The picture ID is for one reason,to hinder poor people from voting. Do you know that the state that took this case to the supreme court did not have even one case of voter fraud in the last election? As soon as it was passed the republican governor shut down the inner city DMVs and moved them into the rural areas where not even buses run. The state was Indiana. The same governor lays off state workers and nurses and school teachers and then hollers to Obama "where are the jobs?'

I'm thinking a gun owner permit has much tougher standards than a simple student ID. Maybe harder to get than a drivers license. Depends on the state or city. Didn't they ban guns in DC?
