Quantcast

Harry Reid served as chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission from 1977 to 1981 (the mob years) and became a multi-millionaire. Hard work???

I heard some reliable source say on TV yesterday that Harry got to be a
millionaire by taking care of the gambling Commission and Prostitution....
Although I think maybe he also got some money from the Boxing commission...
Why else do you think all the big boxing events are held in Las Vegas?

You know Harry himself was once a boxer........ I think that may account for
his scrambled brains and lack of morals. I didn't hear that part from anyone
else, but having been the health care business all these years, I think it
is not only reasonable but probable.

When Jack Gordon, LaToya Jackson's future agent and husband, offered Reid a $12,000 bribe to approve new games for casinos, Reid brought in the FBI to tape Gordon's bribery attempt and arrest him.

True - that was after the major crack down, those in the know say he was afraid it was a set up. - In the movie Casino, Reid is the one that was the commission who had gotten millions in skim and denied Rosenthal the license - he was in that crap up to his armpits. He was scum then and still is.

you do understand that "Casino" was adapted from a true story, and is not totally factual- it's not a documentary

Very few politicians remain untainted - as politics is such a dirty business.

We in the UK have become very cynical over the past few years, because we know that the "Different faces - same old sh*t" rule applies to administrations.

There are so many bright and shiny faced new MP's that have gone up to London thinking that they are going to change the world only to find that the whole thing is sown up and that there is nothing that they can really do to change anything.

Governments are chosen behind closed doors on the "old school tie" basis and on the approval of the "Grandees" - more often than not guided by the City (financial sector) and the Bildeberg group.

So the fresh MP becomes tired and jaded and jumps on the gravy train...

Just as it is in the best interest of a pharmaceutical company to develop a treatment rather than a cure for repeat business, it is not in the best interest for politicians to actually solve any problems, just push them from one place to another...

Power corrupts - no doubt about that at all - some just start out that way to begin with and just find a more fertile place to be what they are.
