Harry reid is a corrupt immoral land scamming crooked lying son of a bitch. How in the name of sanity can he blame Boehner when all of Boehner's attempts at compromise were met with a democrat kick in the nuts. Boehner 1 st came up with additional income equal to the level Obama and the democrats wanted to raise taxes to, then the democrats said no good, TAX INCREASE only. that shows the democrats are not interested in trying to help the US economy, they only want to incease taxes on who they believe are rich. Since when does a millionare tax start at $250.000 ???? A level which will put most small businesses which create most US jobs on the road to ruin. And when the democrat " millionare tax was proposed fordiscussion Reid and the democrats firmly said NO even while it was being discussed in the house of representatives. THIS HAS NEVER BEEN ABOUT WHAT IS BEST FOR THE US ECONOMY, this has always been about power and control for the democrats. And now they will lie, spin and confuse the simple minded getting them to ignore what the democrats have done to economiclly ruin this country (Has the federal govenrment ever even passed a budget under Obama and Reid ? NO) Just like Obama care was never about health care. If it was why did it fund over 1600 new IRS agents and not one damn doctor????? idiots / democrats / fools wake up . Harry reid should rot in hell for what he is doing to this country

Boehner is not the dictator here. The House is the side of congress refusing to take up the other sides bills. The House has passed dozens of bills that lay at Reid's feet, and he is the one who says my way or the highway. Reid and the president are tied in ambition, thirst for power, and dirty tactics. Just like standing on the senate floor and accusing someone of crimes without proof, and everyone knowing it was a smear tactic. Reid is an example of extreme arrogance and the ends justify the means. Hey, by the way, where is the budget Mr Reid. It is against the law not to have one for the past 4 years. But then laws are not for the favored elite or dictators are they?

Of course not. The House has sent two bills to the Senate. All Harry has to do is bring them up to the Senate and let them make any changes (amendments) that they think are necessary and then send them back to the House. Harry Reid is the one holding everything up and he just keeps trying to blame it on the House leadership. Harry is the trouble maker, the dictator.

We're going over the cliff because of Reid AND Obama...

At this point, I hope we do. It'll become immediately clear that its the democrats that brought this destruction on the US economy.

If we go over the fiscal cliff, its not because the Republicans haven't tried to compromise. Obama won't budge an inch. Its all or nothing. When we go over the cliff and we will, go ahead and blame the Republicans. Liberals will always blame the right for Obama's failures and give him the credit it anything happens to be successful. Its easier that way as they are totally clueless to the world around them. Instead of whining and complaining, pointing fingers all the time, why not just accept the fact Obama has failed America and realize he has an agenda that does not include you and I.

He's absolutely right. If Boehner would allow a vote on the bill that the Senate passed 5 months ago, the fiscal cliff would be averted.

and so what your saying is that we should have given in to Obama without compromise so that when America falls even deeper into recession, they can blame the Republicans? HA!!! This will be ALL Obama's baby and nobody to blame but Obama and the voters who support him when we ALL go over the cliff!!
  • Magus BN-0 DavidK 2012/12/31 18:25:09

No, I'm saying that House Republicans should've given in so that we don't fall back into recession (we're not in a recession now). But since Republicans refuse to compromise at all, we're going "off the cliff" and will likely have a new recession sometime next year. And it'll be Republicans who take the blame for it.

There is no "UN Gun Ban Treaty" and there's nothing about guns in the tax cut extension that the Senate passed. Just a simple extension of the tax cuts for all income under $250K.

That's solely about international arms trafficking. It has nothing whatsoever to do with domestic gun ownership.

BTW, I think you need to read up again on how treaties work. The House has no role whatsoever in treaties. Only the president (who signs them) and the Senate (which ratifies them).

But the real answer is this:

All the Politicians are dreaming. No way can the USA reduce the debt in the future. You are talking major energy use, which means major pollution and environmental chaos, simply to save USA reputation. And in the end that reputation would be useless.

Furthermore, what needs to be done is to literally have Congressional Agreement that the USA must declare bankruptcy, cancel all debt repayment, and start again.

When this happens, it means a change of doing business. This means no more Federal Reserve, who can simply create money out of thin air, loan it out, and then expect the Public to repay it with interest. That ladies and gentlemen is the most craziest they have done to us. They create that money out of thin air, by printing it, then they expect interest payment in return, in which that interest money is never printed, because it does not exist.

We live not in reality but made up numbers and false debt. The rich politicians make the decisions to procure debt, but they refuse to accept responsibility for their decisions, proves they know they are liars, and have no ability to. In fact they are as poor as the rest of us living in the illusion they have wealth.

Yes the end of the Old USA has arrived. Time to face it, and deal with it.
