Happy Birthday! Marines Celebrate 237th Anniversary

For
the last 237 years, the United States Marine Corps. has been protecting
our freedom both here and abroad. Today, we celebrate their honorable
service with a few distinguished guests. Brigadier General Paul Brier is
the Vice Commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Command. He explained the
importance of today’s celebration on Fox and Friends.

He said, “Marines believe that you can’t know what you stand for if you don’t know where you came from, and we teach our history because we are determined to repeat it.”

There also is the tradition of cutting of the cake!

Even though my dad was a real butthead, he was a Marine, served his country, and got the Bronze Star (I'm sure I couldn't do any of those). Here's to everyone who has protected our country! (Not to be confused with the U.S. getting involved with issues/countries who do NOT want us there and issues we cannot solve! Heck we can't even sort out some of our own stuff! Take care of the home front FIRST.)

I am retired Army, but my son just graduated from Marine Boot Camp. Heading to Camp LeJeune for advanced training. So proud of him and congratulate the USMC on their anniversary.
