The news media loves a tragedy. People tune in to watch. Television news, in particular, benefits from its live coverage instead of its in-depth, thoughtful analysis. LibertyCaroline 2012/07/20 19:15:33No, I don't trust the media.

How long will it take for the media to make THAT connection?
Like the Zimmerman mess-HOW ABOUT THEY ALL WAIT FOR SOME FACTS?
Instead of blaming on some whack job they immediately (like most Liberals) jump on the It was a Conservative Tea Party member wagon who did this, just like the Gifford Shooting.
What can be said? When breaking news occurs the media isn't ready for it and things are drawn up on the spot. Ever watched the news immediately after an earth quake? Twenty minutes in the reporters typically have to go off the cuff and yet stay on air.
I'm not saying it's the media's fault for not being ready, and yes, they shouldn't draw conclusions as quickly as possible, but what about if they were to not pay attention to tragic events and go on playing shows they were broadcasting?
