I am proud that in my country we have excellent healthcare, free at the point of entry and very low gun ownership and crime.
What everyone else does, I dont really give a monkey's.

I mean this sounds like a no-brainer to me. One saves people, the other kills them.

I don't support "free" health care though. Both are rights though if you pay for them though. You are going to need health care if you get shot though.

I don't know that anyone who is benefiting from the ACA, needs a gun pointed at them to make them accept it. and for the record, nobody has EVER pointed a gun at me to coerce me to support it. I'd be willing to bet my next years salary against yours, that nobody has ever pointed one at you for that purpose either.

"point of the gun" is reference to the Romans imposing their will by point of the spear. Or by government force. When government forces you to do something, it is by the backing of the IRS which has the power to arrest, and force you into compliance.

I got the refrence, it's just dumb, because it doesn't apply. Nobody is going to be arrested for this. They'll get a small fine on their taxes. Don't be such a drama-queen.

but shouldnt it be a right to health care more than a right to own a gun? which is more important?

Do you have a right to the labor of other people?

My rights do not require other people to work for me, that would make them slaves.

I simply ask you a question, do your rights require other people to provide you with their labor?

It's OK if you don't want to answer it, I'll understand.

If you don't have a right to the labor of others, how can you claim that you have a right to the labor of the doctors and nurses that work on you?

OK, paid with who's money? Do you have a right to the money that other people earned with their labor?

Face it, in order to claim that healthcare is a right, you need to be able to claim a right to the labor of another.

My rights come from my Creator, not from government, my Creator did not give me the right to the free labor of other people.

your not going to pay for anyone elses health care, thats what you do now with high insurance rates.

taxpayers paying for non-taxpayers. Being taxed to pay for others. And in 2014 when the full law is implemented, watch for the rates to skyrocket for those who actually will pay. For the moochers, it doesn't matter, they will be on medicaid (welfare)
  • M.C Diverbelo 2012/07/22 23:31:03
    M.C
thats already happening, thats why insurance rates are high, it will go down because of "obamacare" more people will get insurance and its not free. rates will go down to compete with the government plan.
