I more than likely won't be buying another handgun soon...already good in that department... But I am trying to decide on the long gun I am going to buy.... Like should I get a .270, a 35 Whelan, or a 30-06.... More than likely it will be a Remington like this one.. with a really good scope!

I can't honestly say that I saw it coming, but it certainly is no surprise. People react to violence by preparing for it and every time politicians and groups start touting gun control, gun sales go up.

Depends on who is majority in the Congress....because if the Senate does not ratify the treaty.....its merely a piece of paper.....of no more value than a square of toilet paper.

Senate has already signed a letter and sent it to Obama that they will not ratify the treaty....

There is a breaking point with the American people....and I think that if someone were stupid enough to actual grant the UN powers over US citizens that abrogated our Constitution and Bill of Rights.... I would not want to be in between the fools and the pissed.....not good at all and no doubt extremely unhealthy.

Frankly...I cannot think of a single nation who would want its troops to face US Citizens even while their troops were wearing baby blue helmets... We are known for our skills, and I do have extremely serious doubts that if the UN tried to use our own troops....that would fail dismally.... I spent 10 years in uniform, combat arms....and I'll be damned if I would ever take up arms against American Citizens who were abiding by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. A soldier or any service member has ZERO obligation to obey illegal or immoral orders.

So I don't spend too much time worrying about it.
