Gun Sales on the Rise: What's to Blame?

Guns sales are up. According to Good Morning America, sales throughout the industry are up anywhere from 30 to 91 percent this quarter, depending on the seller. Cris Parson, who owns a Texas store called the Houston Armory, says part of the reason sales are up is that gun-owners fear the possibility of Obama's second term because "he's never been pro-gun" and will have "nothing to lose."

But that's not it. Parson also blames zombies and doomsday conspiracies, trends spawned by television shows like "Doomsday Preppers" and "The Walking Dead." Of a certain brand of ammunition called Zombie Max, Parsons says, "We can't keep it in stock. It comes in a cool, colorful box with a Zombie on it." What do you think the reason is for higher gun sales? Is it Obama, zombies, doomsday -- or just an increased desire to own a gun?

When was the study done? It could be the Treyvon Martin thing as well. Gun sales always rise when a riot is anticipated.

in stockton, ca, police will no longer investigate burglaries

you have to report the crime over the internet if the perps did not steal your computer

as police forces are reduced in city after city because of over-promising benefits, this situation will soon come to you

    we are on our own!

Along with Holder and the new black panthers. A lousy economy an administration that is socializing our rights away without any other branch of gov't doing anything they are supposed to do according to their oaths and the Constitution.

Last summer we had a home invasion robbery. One guy, living with his grandmother in our 55+ development had committed 17 burglaries, we were 1 of his 2 home invasions. At 10:15 pm he entered my 94 year old dad's bedroom while he was sleeping, grabbed his wallet off the dresser and bumped into my dad's bed waking him. He thought it was me closing his window to turn on the air conditioner. I was in my bedroom 30 ft. away watching tv & didn't hear a thing. Muddy footprints & fingerprints were found by detectives. After a lifetime career of community service my dad's personality began to change - he felt he could no longer protect his family. He kept imagining guys in hoodies from Philly coming in his window. He kept a handgun in his night stand but upon checking it he no longer had the strength in his hand to pull back the part on the top. On Labor Day morning he woke me up & said he wanted to go shopping for a new gun. He already obtained the gun permit application online. At the store he found 2 lightweight models he could handle but we left as he needed to complete the application. Shortly after this, during a police stakeout they caught the guy attempting to break into another house. They even had a NJ state helicopter with 2 lights canvassing our block as he was running away. I found out his name, Justin Kanicki, 32 yrs old, priors for burglary and enrolled in "Drug Court", a very strict Superior Court in NJ. He went to Burlington County Jail on $100,000 cash bond, which means he'd have to come up with all of it, he's still there. His Facebook page showed practically nothing but gambling activity. Sadly, my dad passed in February. He made progress, but he was never the same. I went thru his belongings soon after he passed looking for valuables to put in my safe deposit box - I found 4 guns. I wanted them out of the house because I don't know how to use one. But I will soon...I've got the info for the NRA course. So to answer the question, Whats To Blame? ... for my dad it was being able to protect his family against that have-nots vs. the haves. For me, it seems a necessity that I'm living alone. As one state trooper told me "You have a right to defend yourself .... just don't shoot him in the back".

Maybe he can't be trusted, or maybe it is the 450 million rounds of ammo the HLS just bought. Possibly the total destruction of the constitution. Maybe suing AZ for trying to keep their border safe as well as the rest of America. Could be the Fast and Furious gun running to Mexican drug lords.I think list just goes on and on, no one trusts this corrupt
LYING BASTARD! :) What we don't know is even worse.

People believe that it is an urgent need, they believe in their sense of justice, and most of all they believe that guns protect their property & families.

A pox on the NRA for practicing free market capitalism and lobbying for our Second Amendment rights! And who's to blame for the rise in gun related deaths in poor minority neighborhoods? Drug gangs don't subscribe to the NRA or attend gun shows like law abiding people.

Gun salesman of the year for the third straight year. According to liberals, the murders should also be up almost double. That won't happen.

    more guns less crime

Crime goes down with the rise of gun ownership as long as it isn't just criminals that have the guns.

    Post hoc ergo propter hoc!

Correlation does not prove causality. Please see:

There are undoubtedly many factors that determine the US crime rate.
The simple graph above does not examine all of them.

Obama and his goons and supporters, New Black Panthers calling for white blood to run in the streets, federal government accumulating massive amounts of armament, everything points to Americans having to defend themselves from their own government. It would be stupid to NOT get guns.

The only logical reason would be an increase in the number of hunters. http://www.cbsnews.com/2100-2... Since the number of hunters continues to decrease, we are left with the various kinds of stupidity as a reason.
