Gun Sales on the Rise: What's to Blame?

The fact is that Obama couldn't care less about the subject. What gun enthusiasts are reacting to is what happened after Clinton was elected. Back then, standard magazines for modern service pistols were outlawed under the "Assault Weapons Law." This was an over-reach that is still championed by the talking heads on MSNBC. The backlash was not lost on the actual liberal politicians.

What Democrats need to do is make sure the delegates to the next convention know something about guns. Some of the planks on the Democratic Party platform are quite odious to responcible gun owners, let alone the nuts.

Don't sweat it brother, every ethnic group goes through...but nothing like the African/Americans....totally yanked around. Look at history...Italians found and named America, got kicked out and were dragged back as second class to build it and we love it. I attended the Capital Expo Center Gun Show Last weekend and I can tell you that 25% of the participants were minorities ( Black, Asian, Hispanic, Other) But this may be due to the region, Northern Virginia is a very diverse population. I guess if you live in Georgia or Nebraska the makeup would be different.

Criminals come in all colors.

No way there is more crimes committed by whites. The numbers are a reality when you consider the size of the population of these two races you find they have an overwhelming amount of crimes. How many cities are people afraid to go into because white gangs will attack you and rape and murder you? They want thw truth to be a lie and a lie to be the truth.

A person's race has nothing to do with the crime rate, their economic environment does. Hunger breeds crime. It just so happens that there are still a great many minority families that are still struggling for a chance at the American Dream. If conservatives would be a little more supportive of the poor and hungry there would be a lot less crime.

That's not always true, there are plenty of rich people committing crimes as well, I'm not saying being rich is bad or am even against being rich, just saying that people are people and crime depends on the person and not everything else.
I grew up poor and in the Ghetto and I didn't steal, I've seen both rich and poor steal.

That is true, but what I am saying is that most resort to stealing when they are hungry and destitute, and the ones that that affects the most are minorities. That is why statistics show more crimes being done by minorities. Their doing the crime has nothing to do with their race.

A man has a duty to feed his family. When the chips are down, he will do whatever it takes to accomplish that responsiblity. Many times in the history of the U.S. people would not hire blacks, just because they were black. After the slaves were freed and went North, they were often murdered because they were taking jobs away from whites. (Read "The Gangs of New York" --- or see the film) And the same events were taking place in many cities, not just New York!

That is quite true, and that is what we are seeing returning today, laws with a specific intention to lower the number of minorities alive and vying for a chance to take a white man's job. It's the true demoralization of American Society.

But the crimes by the rich are usually "White Collar Crimes", such as fraud.

This is true but still, it's crime, that's the point.

Stories of the mistreatment of African-Americans by white people throughout the history of the U.S. has been passed down to the grand and great-grandchildren, and will take a long time to be forgotten. Those grand kids are "getting even" Even in my life time, I can remember when Southern whites used to brag about how blacks were required to get off the sidewalk and walk in the gutter when whites were using the sidewalks. Can you imagine the humiliation that a black dad would have to endure when out with his family for a walk but had to get pff the sidewalk into the streets when whites were present? Or when his little girl had to use the toilet only to find a sign "Whites Only! Blacks - around back"; then, when they went around back, a sign that said "OUT OF ORDER"?
And when the little girl had to "go" in the bushes, whites would complain, "Look at those slobs -- going to the toilet in public!" (Whatever goes around, comes around!)
And then, whenever a white girl was raped and killed in the town, right away someone would blame it on a black guy that lived in the area. And that someone who was doing the blaming was often the one who did the dirty deed!

But people buy arms in areas where they do not live or are few in number as well.

well seeing as a law was passed stating that the Government can now contain and detain and imprison even American citizens without reason for any amount of time as long as the Government feels like they're a threat to the country it makes sense that people are getting ready for the next civil war that's coming...

Name that law, and when it was passed? It is obviouly unconstitutional and would be declared so by the Supreme Court. Further, Obama cannot make laws; only the Congress can. The President can sign them or reject them, but Congress can pass them over his objection, if they have the votes.

The dots are quite obvious. Obama is a master politician. He saw the backlash against Clinton after the Assault Weapons Ban, and he wants no part of it. In another four years, it may become an issue, but not with Obama.
