Gun Sales on the Rise: What's to Blame?

Obama, Obama zombies, Obama Doomsday zombies. Just plan on protecting your family as best you can, by whatever means. I believe God allows us to protect our own. I believe in being prepared for whatever emergency arises, whether it is from storms, civil unrest, whatever. Make sure you have a supply of water(and it is a lot more than you think you need), food(canned, boxed). Get some rain barrels; you pay for the barrels, but the rain is free!
I do not trust that Obama will not think of some way of starting some National Emergency. We have to pray for God to give us all the wisdom to vote in the right person in November. If America does fail, it will be our own fault for turning away from God.

Partly it is simply awareness that "when seconds count, the police are minutes away."

Partly it is the recognition that Obama, like several presidents before (including Bush) is promoting destructive economic policies which may lead to problems in the near future.

Every one (above 18) should have a gun with them 24/7 you never know when a thief is going to break into your house or attacked by a serial killer or a terrorist (alright I know terrorists will just blow the entire place up) what I'm saying is everyone needs to be prepaired for the worst. I read in a local news paper that some countries are not following the universal law of "not experimenting on Humans" so you CAN also expect Zombies (though I don't know how much guns will be effective against zombies).

It's the economy. Unemployment leads to poverty and crime.

Who's to BLAME? That's like posing, "Condom sales are up--who's to blame?" Why are increased gun sales a BAD thing? Study after study prove that whereever gun control laws to NOT exist, that area is the SAFEST to live in. Only liberals disconnect from facts and fabricate their own "utopian fantasy" by asking questions like this.

for me ,, the gangsta, or in Pittsburgh the wanna be gangsta , robbing & mugging in the city . the suburbs are quite safe ( due to different social / economic make up ) but the city has our wanna be 's ..

the police force carry firearms... TO PROTECT THEMSELVES... not you or I , but to protect them selves...

the greater Pittsburgh area is one of the highest conceal carry permit counties .. and the suburbs are one of the safest areas , due to IMO , the high level of fire arm owners..

so, is crime to " blame " for the gun sales ?

I think it's up because they are being sold to people that cross them over the border into Mexico, where they are WAY more useful... people bitch about drugs, but they have great impact on the violence, as long as it benefits the american economy. Now, none of those gun shops are going to tell you "I sold 50 of them them to some guy for cash". It' has been proven that over 90% of the guns found in Mexico have been manufactured and purchased in the United States.

Gun laws in some states are more lenient than they were a few years back.

People have accepted the idea that they can not rely on their government to protect them or their families and as a matter of fact our government is part of what we can't trust and need to be protected from!

The question should be "What is the cause? Not "What's to blame?" Why should there be any blame? A cause may be that some may think the controversy over the shooting of an unarmed teenager in Florida may excite African Americans into unwarranted retaliation against other innocent people. But any steam behind that it seems was cooled off with charges being filed against Zimmerman. I don't know what took so long for that to take place. A hearing was certainly warranted to determine what took place - an unarmed and hardly dangerous person was killed. We must get to the bottom of it, which will be difficult since there were no witnesses to the shooting. One must question Zimmerman's motive, especially after the police told him, in so many words, to bug out! I have lived in quite a few states in this country and never found a one that permitted neighborhood watch organizations to be armed.

Americans need guns now more than ever before in history.

Explain just why that is so?

Parents that raise kids to not think for themselves. Granted there are some odd people out there you can worry about...but out of billions of people were talking a hand full of loons.

We all have firearms where I live in SoCal. Safest neighborhood I have ever lived in.

Our government is no longer concerned with our safety! Seems there is plenty of money for the next campaign but not enough for well trained police!

It is the responsibility of your city government to hire the police, but we seem to have too many greedy people now-a-days that do not want to pay taxes to hire the proper number of police, nor to build more prisons, nor schools.

Retail Sales have gone through the roof since 2007 ( on the CHANCE Obama would be elected ) ........ Retail AMMO SALES " SKYROCKETED " also and most ammunition as well as guns were in SHORT SUPPLY ! The National Shooting Sports Foundation , The N.R.A. - I.L.A. , Federal BACKGROUND CHECKS are at " RECORD LEVELS " and are picking up more than ever before as the year goes on toward the election .
You can LOOK at any of those sources and a dozen more ( if you can handle the TRUTH ! )

Just when did you visit those Gun Shops across the nation to determine that "it's true? How many shops were there?

I have seen it in several in the Tri-State Area where I live and this " FACT " has been written up in Magazines & Online for the LAST 3 YEARS !
