I don’t understand why the NRA is going for half measures when it comes to weapons laws in the U.S.
We are allowed to own semi-automatic pistols and rifles that, with simple alterations, can be made to fire fully automatic.
Why stop there? Why can’t we legally purchase fully automatic military issue weapons as well as hand grenades, RPG’s and other hand held weapons?

the "good old boys" down there in Louisiana and Texas riding around in their rusting pickups waving shoulder rockets and firing into the air, just like their counterparts in Iraq, Syria, and a dozen other third world countries? What could better speak for our "free market economy" than to let these weapons be sold at Walmart and Target? Every "red blood American patriot" would want to stock up on these, looking forward to that day when the call for the "militia" will come from the "Conservative Dictator In Chief" and all will be again like it was in 1775.

but lets get back to your push to ban guns and your post proving that the USA has been reading the constitution WRONG for over 200 years....go for it kid ! Its your time to shine , ban guns bring that "change" you have been working for the past 60 years to create ...you have even more supporters now than you did in 08 right ? right ? right ? -
The discussion is not about banning "guns" or firearms. It is about banning the purchase of automatic and semi-automatic weapons.
We can never eliminate murder with small arms but we can reduce their effect. Particularly in a situation like Aurora.
notice how the GDP dropped after the dotcom bubble and 9/11 and unlike Obama it did this funny little thing after that IT GREW! Obama started at a higher point and spend 500% more while adding less than 2% per year + has held a > 4% inflation rate america is bleeding out fool .
Joplin, MO and other tornados; Disasters? GM, Chrysler, Fannie & Freddy, Iraq & Afghanistan, the Treasury, Disasters?
The game of trying to make the present Administration responsible for the continuing meltdown caused by thrity years of "Reaganomics" and the carefully planned pillage by the Reagan Banks and Wall Street is wasted on me. I've been there, seen that, know the game, and predicted the results on that day in 1980 when Reagan's Cabinet Secretaries warned me and a few others what was ahead. Save the BS for those who follow the nonsense from the RWNJs and Fox network.
How did you mamage to think of GWB when the question is about gun laws?
Clinton never had a "surplus" but you are probably way to far up Obama's gun grabbing ass to see facts or reason - jolly good job the Democrats did when they took over in 06 and crashed the economy ...lets keep them in power and see just how far down we can go shall we .
The Drop In Auto Sear (DIAS) is a device that is added to an otherwise semi-automatic AR-15 so that when used with M-16 fire control parts including an M-16 carrier produces full auto fire.
Have you shot the MX8 yet ? It has a good feel once you get past the way it looks ...I am going to get to shoot it next week - its always love or hate with me , there is no middle ground on any gun . Love it or hate it ...LOL
