This guy really gets the problems.

The information is available if the sheeple would only look around themselves and see how many near retirement people are taking early retirement rather than keep looking for jobs that are not out there.

I've never heard any figures on the people that don't qualify for unemployment.
ie: Small lawn services, most restaurant staff, house cleaners (a half or one day a week at several different homes), Mr. fix it's, self employed painters, etc.....
I know I haven't even scratched the surface of how many different jobs have been lost because of the numbers of people that aren't using their services after they lose their jobs.
My son was injured on the job and recieved workman's comp for a while after his surgery. He can't go back to his job because the injury prevents him from doing the work. And, he can't get unemployment because he didn't apply in the time alloted.
I doubt that he has been counted.

Didn't you all hear. He said he already fixed it and we don't need to look back. It came from his own blabber mouth himself. This is getting me worried.

Two words. Discouraged workers. The unemployment rate is distorted because of this; there are a lot more unemployed than what shows.

He isn't fooling as many people this time around.

I can only go by the people in my community (mostly Democrats who, in the past, would NEVER vote for anyone who didn't have a D after their name). Not one person that I know who voted for Obama in 2008 plan to vote for him in 2012. Nor do they believe the unemployment figures or that we are in a 'recovery.'

Agree --- but I think it will all boil down to election day and how the economy is doing and if more people are back to work.

not a chance for serious recovery.. ZERO .. The Economy is on a roll moving from 3% in the last quarter of 2011 now it is 2% before it gets revised down.. Add to that that china.. and the EU are both showing very mixed results. with many countries in the EU.. OUR biggest trade partner in out and out depression

We have the greatest number of people who are sitting idle in the work force just in absolute numbers EVER..
Housing prices continue to decline.. Foreclosures continue to rise..
The Economy is creating 150,000 new jobs a month.. and losing 450000 OUR real economy is shrinking.. Meanwhile Obama ET AL want to suck more money out of the Economy.. First thing in Macro ECON classes tell you.. when the government removes capital from the economy. We have known this as a reality for a very very very very long time.. TAXES remove capital..

So the end result dont expect the economy to recover under this dillweed

Sadly too many people are still believing in his hope and change crap and thinking the check is in the mail for their gas and mortgage. There are just too many stuipd people voting for me to see too much hope for this country.

A lot more people should listen to Rick Santelli, and a lot of other people that have reporting responsibilities from the "street." From CNBC to FBC or some of the overseas markets. Those are the people that deal in real numbers, not political numbers. And the real numbers do not look good... for any one.

The administration lies about everything. Skew the figures your way and go on pretending it's true. It's what they do.

Every 30 to 60 days they keep revising the results and hundreds of thousands each month are leaving the measured work force. The bottom line is that unemployment in America is higher than when Obama took office and they are trotting out only part of the picture to try and keep their campaign upbeat. They can't come right out and say hey we suck at this whole economic thing.
