Thanks, I read that last sentence from the statement above and got the laugh I was needing today! Obama sure might wind up mopping the floor alright, that may very well be true! He's got nothing but practiced crap that Democrats want to here, there is no track record. At least Newt has run the hurdles and the hundred yard dash!

I would love to see him debate Newt, only because Newt thinks he is so smart and the rest of us are so dumb that we dont get him, according to Newt.

But for shear contrast Ron Paul would be great choice also.

As for Romney, it would not matter because we already know what he will say.

Santorum, well that would just be laughable.

Romney is the only one who could give Obama a decent warmup. None of those listed could possibly survive a debate with him.

Two not listed because they aren't candidates that I'd really like to see debate Obama would be Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh. Neither would survive for long but think of the comedic possibilities. Rush never leaves his cage for a debate because the few times he's ever engaged in one he loses and gets his head handed to him on a platter. Embarrassingly. Sarah Palin would think every reply to her "statements" she couldn't rebut were "gotcha" replies rather than her normal poor preparation.

As long as Paul has his distance glasses for the teleprompter.

Paul is like Limbaugh in that he's in his own world. His ideas don't work in reality, not even on a small scale. As long as he's confined to a relatively small group of people who only talk to each other he'll do fine. When he gets exposed to the real world, as in debating a candidate that knows what he's talking about, he'll get torn to shreds - just like what happened to Limbaugh when he came out of his cave.

As far as I am concerned, Mitt Romney is the ONLY GOP candidate that could take Obama out of the White House! But would Obama leave religion out of the debate, or the election process? The other three GOP possible candidates just plain scare me, if they ever got in as President!

Ron has no chance of getting the nomination. Rick probably offers the most direct opposition to Obama. Mitt is just a flip flopper and anything he says should not be believed as he would sell his mother to get elected. Newt is almost out of it. Well, since Romney is the only viable candidate left..., I'd say Romney. And with his most recent gaff saying that If people have a pre-existing condition they shouldn't be given a chance to buy health care, and should just die, I think his political career will "just die" as a result!

Ron Paul would be intellectually interesting. I think some of his logic is interesting. I don't entirely agree with everything but it would be interesting to see it play out.

Newt would be more of an even battle. Newt is a very good speaker...maybe not so good on other points but he can debate well.
