I am so sick and tired of the politics of buying an election. This absolutely sucks! We need:

    1. publicly funded elections - equal playing field for all candidates
    2. presidential and vice presidential debates back in the hands of the League of Women Voters - get the 'ratings' game and sponsorship out of it
    3. an end to paid lobbyists - why should special interests get more of my representative's time than I do?

President Obama was in Denver recently. One of the events he attended was a fundraiser - lunch or dinner, can't remember which. The price of admission (for 2) included meal, a chance to meet the President and shake his hand (and if you were fast enough a quick pic), possibly an autograph. All of that for the meager price of $35,000.

Guess the wealthy are more entitled to access to power than the non-wealthy.

    GET MONEY OUT OF POLITICS

VOTE FOR PROGRESS AND TRUE CHANGE... VOTE FOR JILL!!

    JILL STEIN FOR PRESIDENT

Gee I thought they'd never catch up to the poor little dems. Obama's people said that they would be spening 1 billion about a year ago. I guess those few 1%ers on the dems side found out that Obama will give most of it back to them.

He won't be getting a dime from me as it's one thing to oppose Obama... it's another to support someone worse than Obama out of some blind sheep need to remove Obama from office not caring who we replace him with.

Romney has one claim to fame as a one term Governor of the most Democrat / leftwing controlled states in America and that is how he paid off the state debt without raising taxes. He raised the cost of everything else which created more taxes per dollar increased and created higher inflation with no increase in wages to compensate for the increased cost of living. The Massachusetts economy was already beginning to collapse during his last year as Governor and it was clear he would never be re elected as even Republicans had turned on the liar.

Now, Republicans have a man who looks good in a suit who whines when he speaks revealing about as much passion as a man whose stomach is full of water being forced to drink another gallon.

When Romney told us how he supported the bailout of GM when everyone knows he said let them go bankrupt, he revealed the degree to which he is capable of lying because instead of sweet whispers like Obama, he's a blunt instrument who leaves no question he's lying.

Mitt Romney is a Liberal Republicans and every damn time he thinks he's won,...

Mitt Romney is a Liberal Republicans and every damn time he thinks he's won, he reveals his true colors... and the Anyone But Obama crowd rush in anyone to have his stink sprayed all over them because they're not one bit different than Obama's supporters and they could care less about leadership ability or this country.

I'm watching the Hatfields & McCoys on the History Channel and this presidential election is such a perversion it made me think of the Hatfields being led by a McCoy and the McCoys being led by a Hatfield each side shooting themselves in the foot with their guns blowing up in their faces.

Truly... we have leftwing Democrats supporting a President whose voting record makes him look like a rightwing extremist and the Republicans supporting a man whose voting record makes him look like a leftwing extremist.

Obama as a US Senator never once voted against Bush but supported every damn thing he wanted always caving to the political right while Romney not only caved to the left, he let them rewrite much of his legislation then signed it with a smile on his face.

Remember Romneycare? Remember how Romney allowed Ted Kennedy to rewrite the damn thing but left his name on it?

Lol, the only difference is Romneys a rich white guy who looks good in a suit and Obama's a black man whose supporters can't see him as anything but a victim.

Obama never opposed Bush but where he did support leftwing ideals... he was 100% the same as Romney who disagreed and opposed Bush far more than Obama.

This Presidential election will be a farce if these are the men running to be President with the ABO right and Obamacrat left. The blind fighting the blind with no damn concern about leadership ability as all each side wants is to keep the other side from winning...

And no one wins with that kind of insanity.

I will be voting for Ron Paul because I believe in him not because he's a Republican or Democrat... but because his first and only concern is the American people and he's the only one with the actual experience and qualifications to be President.

If you care about this country and it's people more than joining a herd of sheep out of fear of what another herd of sheep will do to you if you don't... then you will vote for Ron Paul even if you have to write him in.

And if you don't care about this country or it's people more than that... it's no damn wonder everythings gone to Hell in a nation professing it's belief in Heaven!

Of course you forgot that it was Obama that stated about 6-8 months ago that he was going to raise a billion dollars for his campaign. Then he realized that he wasn't going to fool the people again and the money isn't going to him. The repubs started collecting and it appears that a billion is headed toward Romney. How great is that? Perfect I think. What was good for the goose is great for the gander.

Didn't that piece of crap Alito disagree with President Obama when he said the Citizens United decision would infuse the electoral process with untraceable money? Hmmm. While spending over a billion dollars sounds like a lot of money to spend on an election, it will more than pay for itself. Think about money invested in elections as lobbyist money. People or "corporations" (there's no difference to Willard) invest in an election because they want something. They want their guy to get in office because their guy believes in the same ideology as the candidate.

Now consider this, a study by NPR showed that the return on money spent for lobbying has a 22,000 percent return. That's right, for every dollar invested in lobbying they got get $220 back in tax incentives. Not a bad investment.

    http://www.npr.org/blogs/mone...

While more than billion dollars sounds like a lot money you can bet your life, your paycheck, your future that they will get a hell of lot more back if Willard wins.

I am surprised that they are going to spend that much money. I know that late last year Obama was heading for a billion dollars. Obama has stepped on the toes of many that supported him last election. I am hoping that many in Congress loose their jobs so that we can get a fresh group in that have no ties to anyone and will make decision that are good for America and not themselves. I would like to see Congress be controlled by true Conservative and not the ones that went along with all the spending of Bush and the one that Passed the Patriot Act and NDAA.
The other thing they need to do is make sure that we get rid of all czars which should have been done decades ago. They were not vetted by Congress, I also want people that will call the President on using executive orders when they are unconstitutional. The people we have in the House at this time are afraid to call his hand. We do not need people like them. This is the United States of America, not the United Socialist States of America.

It appears the GOP is preparing to buy America … I don’t think she is for sale. I know I do not have a million dollars to donate … I do though have a few dollars … united average Americans pulling together will let the GOP know that America is not for sale as our votes can’t be procured.
