GOP Candidate Allen West Rips Obama For Exploiting Race For
Political Gain, Wants Black Panthers Investigated, Placed on Terrorist
Watch List…

Love this guy…

(The Hill)-
One of the GOP’s handful of black candidates for Congress condemned
President Barack Obama of exploiting race for political gain.

Allen West, the Republican challenging Rep. Ron Klein (D) in
Florida’s 22nd congressional district, sharply criticized the Obama
administration for having allegedly declined prosecuting the New Black
Panther Party on voter tampering charges for political reasons.

“For an Administration that promised a new era in race relations,
Obama and the Democrats in Congress have demonstrated that race will
continually be exploited for political gain,” said West, who is one of
two African-American Republicans running for Congress who have survived
their primaries.

West was picking up on a meme that’s made its way through
conservative blogs in recent days, based on whistleblower claims made
by a former Justice Department employee. Charges against the Black
Panthers for their actions on Election Day 2008 weren’t pursued because
of racial politics, the employee charged. The Justice Department says
charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.

West drew on his own history with race to condemn the Black
Panthers, as well as other black Democrats, who he said had “remained
silent” when he’d been called racially-ringed names during the course
of his campaign.

“The dye has been cast in this election cycle – Democrats and their
liberal progressive socialist allies will continue to play the race
card when it is politically expedient,” West said. “I demand an
investigation of the New Black Panther Party and the placement of it,
along with any extremist group, onto the Terrorist Watch List if
warranted
. If that it not done prior to my taking the oath of office as a United States Congressman, it will happen soon thereafter.”

The Justice Department has adamantly stood behind the decision to reduce the case to the charges against Samir Shabazz. "The top career attorneys in the Civil Rights Division determined that the facts and the law did not support pursuing the claims against three of the defendants," Justice Department spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler told the Washington Independent last August. In testimony before the commission in May, Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division Tom Perez "said there was insufficient evidence that the party was responsible for the incident" and "noted that the voter intimidation provision is rarely used, and pointed to similar incidents during the Bush years in which minorities were the alleged victims but the division did not file such a lawsuit."

"Reasonable people of good faith can take a look at evidence and draw different conclusions from the evidence," said Perez of the disagreement within the department about pursuing wider charges. "This is a case about career people disagreeing with career people." In a statement released after Adams testified, Democratic Commissioner Michael Yaki decried the investigation as being "incredibly shallow, expensive, and partisan." The Justice Department has adamantly stood behind the decision to reduce the case to the charges against Samir Shabazz.

"This is a case about career people disagreeing with career people." In a statement released after Adams testified, Democratic Commissioner Michael Yaki decried the investigation as being "incredibly shallow, expensive, and partisan." "These proceedings are reminiscent of an inquisition, a star chamber, and a witch hunt. They are not worthy of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights," said Yaki.

But it isn't just Democrats and Obama administration officials who are denouncing the "witch hunt" into the Department's decision-making. In an article for the National Review, Abigail Thernstrom, the Vice Chair of the Civil Rights Commission, implored conservatives to "forget about the New Black Panther Party case; it is very small potatoes."

Thernstrom was specifically critical of Adams' charges, writing that "a disaffected former Justice Department attorney has written: 'We had indications that polling-place thugs were deployed elsewhere.' 'Indications'? Again, evidence has yet to be offered." Indeed, in the initial memo arguing for a lawsuit against the New Black Panther Party, Adams and his fellow lawyers admitted that they "were unable to ascertain where or whether the NBPP actually deployed any other members at polling locations throughout the United States."

If Allen West becomes a prominent figure, the people of America will LAUGH at Barry, and see him for the bony little unamerican fraud he actually is.

People got so caught up chasing rainbows, searching for unicorns and dancing in pixie dust after being hypnotized into the HOPE and CHANGE chant, they forgot to look for a president, and ended up with Peter Pan in office.

Allen West could set everyone straight on what our black American president stands for, and trust me, bowing and apologizing is not quite his speed. Go Colonel West.

There goes the BHO idea that he can lie to all blacks and they will follow him anywhere. He is attempting the same with latinos, and legal latinos are rejecting his race baiting.

I am NOT a Republican. but I must admit that it seems that blacks who become Republicans are a lot more honorable than those who are attracted to the Democrat party. Why its that?

because they do not buy into the BHO misconception that blacks cannot provide for themselfs and needs the government to house them in voter wharehouses (the projects/public housing) give them drug money, tell them whites are evil, and bus them to the polls when votes are needed.
