It's funny how she's almost laughing during the report! It does seem weird to most of us. The students probably can't do anything; dance, drink, drugs, sleep together, have sex, play cards, etc. So the same can be required of the faculty. They sent notices to opt in or opt out. Everyone has a choice. Much the same as the laughing reporter I like the exodus too. It's a good thing everyone isn't a clone of everyone else.

The school needs to decide if they want the most compliant professors or the best ones. Parents must decide who they want their money going to to teach their kids.

It is never good to try to force your ideas and lifestyle on others. The resignations were the right thing to do. But I for one sure would never have gone to a school like that.
