Either Global Climate Change is happening, OR it is not happening: and either humans are contributing to Global Climate Change, OR we are not contributing.

We may act in an ecologically sustainable manner, or we may not act in such a way.

* If Global Climate change is exacerbated by humans and we do act in an ecologically sustainable manner, then we avert a serious catastrophe (a very positive outcome).
* If Global Climate change is exacerbated by humans and we do not act in an ecologically sustainable manner, then we allow for a serious catastrophe (a very negative outcome).
* If Global Climate change is not exacerbated by humans and we do not act in an ecologically sustainable manner, then nothing happens (a neutral outcome).
* If Global Climate change is not exacerbated by humans and we do act in an ecologically sustainable manner, then while no catastrophe occurs, we still contribute to the betterment of the planet (a positive outcome).

Therefore, regardless of the true nature of Global Climate Change, we ought to act in an ecologically sustainable manner.

Very well said! I think we should print up posters and place them in schools and public places!

I've got no problem living with a "greener" lifestyle. I'm not going completely "green" (I like AC too much), but I've got no problem trying to recycle more, generate less trash designated for landfills, that sort of thing. One of the biggest things I think we can do to live "greener" is buy less from China. They're totally hosing their side of the planet with the money we send them for lead paint coated toys.
I had a hard time choosing because Mr. Spock and Chewbacca are both pretty cool.

Funny that people are so offended by the sight of slowly-moving windmills but have no problem with oil rigs.
