As a whole our country would be doing better if Americans would bet off their butts and do something. We keep looking towards the government to fix our problems.

We haven't done squat. QE1, 2 and now 3 have devalued our curency 65% since 2008. Glass Steigal never came back. Dirivatives now account for $1.8 quadrillion.

It will take a while but when liberals are out and sanity can come back we'll be on the road to recovery.

I assume when you say "we" you refer to the government. The answer is obviously "NO"! Point of fact under the current regime it seems the goal is to make America completely unstable.......

Not even close. However, a nice first step would be to vote that spend-thrift jackass Obama the hell out of office and adopt a more fiscally responsible economic strategy.

you know, I've been poor, and homeless, and I survived without any help from the government. I hear all this the poor are living off the rich, but I've seen min. wagers jerked by the arm screamed at and humiliated and they take it because they gotta' make it to next weeks check. The rich live on the dreams, sweat and blood of the working class and if the economy crashes they'll just move to another country, hell some of them already are... cowards.

The bottom 46% don't pay any federal income tax. You got it backwords as usual. It is the poor living of the rich.

If by 'we' you mean the US Federal Government, then no, I believe they have failed to make the necessary changes to create genuine stability in the American financial system. If by 'we' you mean you and me, well, I don't really know you and I'm not an American.

Our only hope to even have a chance to regain any stability is to get rid of this inept president, his miserable administration, and the current Senate majority and leader. Oust the self-serving bastards.

Recovery will probably take about 17 years. No, we're not doing enough yet. Education is key. So are reciprocal ethics and the mentality of investing in a slow movement.

Our government is not interested in fixing it, only throwing money at it as a form of corporate welfare and rewarding failure while protecting wrong doers.
