Typical Socialist extremeist thinking. Essential public services are in no way Socialist in ideology , temper or practice. The Jon Stewarts of the world would demand that any and all services are or could be considered "essential" services ... and by this assumption, government's rightful role is used attempting to promote a government monopoly on all goods or services by pointing at basic and legitimate governmental services, like the military , some law enforcement and /or roads claiming them as "Socialist " in nature. This is a blantant and subversive misrepresentation of the truth.

While the libraries are no longer as essential or cost effective as they were when Ben Franklin founded the first successful one in Philadelphia. They have a legitimate role to maintain and protect a body of knowledge for the people, but it's fair governmental role does not threaten the free market or FORCE people to join ... unlike the proposed SOCIALIST MEDICAL SYSTEM, or the BANK BAILOUTS , or CAR COMPANY NATIONALIZATIONS.

These examples of Socialist thinking are not the same as Public Libraries , Fire Depts or Banks. The Leftist adgenda is NOT for essential expansion... and should not be forced on us as it is completely UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

Just as a training excersise, why not go to a Library and actually read the U.S. Constitution and then you will be able to say that you have used an essential service properly.

Now that its been said maybe some people will finally realize the truth: Socialism has already come, and we must start a revolution to get our country back! It should start in the libraries, those damned socialistic structures!

I wonder if people realize they actually sound as ridiculous as she did...
