I'm not thanking my parents. They didn't do the right thing. The right thing to do is not rob a baby of his foreskin. If he wants a circumcision he can always get one. He can't undo a circumcision.

First, I follow the Jesus of love, in the New Testament, personally. But there have been those who use His name to commit atrocities. A you have so aptly pointed out. I am Native American and I know the atrocities that have been committed. But I also know that many people in all parts of the world who follow other spiritual ways pierce baby's ears and other rituals that are painful. Circumcision is painful. But not that bad because I had it done to me as a child for hygiene purposes. As I say this next statement, I understand that FAKE followers of Jesus have persecuted pagans and other spiritual ways.
But I think that maybe you might want to not impose your beliefs on people and stop their freedom of religion if nothing else not to act like those who have persecuted you.
