Gas Prices Have Gone Up 67 Percent Since Obama Became President

~ The Rebel ~ 2011/03/11 04:44:31

Ah, January of 2009. Hope was in the air, but more importantly, gas was under two dollars a gallon. Since then gas prices, have gone up 67 percent and it’s an ominously upward trend. Interestingly enough, the Heritage Foundation also took a look at the first 26 months of Bush’s presidency — gas only rose 7 percent during that time frame.

Now obviously turmoil in the Middle East has something to do with our current astronomical gas prices, but keep in mind that by this point in the Bush presidency 9/11 had happened and we were on the verge of invading Iraq. So while the president can’t be entirely responsible for global commodity prices, it’s still worth asking what Obama’s doing to make things worse.

It's killing my transport business. So far no layoffs thank God. I've even had to get behind the wheel because I can't hire new employees and I will not lay off the ones I have now. What really pisses me off is that I have less time to give the Liberals beat-downs.

Does that shock you. He said he wanted to see $5.00 a gallon or more. The higher the cost, the more taxes they get.

You conveniently overlooked the rest of Bush's presidency, when gas prices hit all-time highs.

Bush didn't bother to tighten airport security despite receiving a memo in August 2001 warning him of a possible attack by Osama bin Laden. Bush chose to waste trillions of dollars invading Iraq despite evidence proving that Iraqis had nothing to do with 9/11. His actions definitely had an effect on gas prices.

Obama, in contrast, wasn't responsible for the recent uprisings in some Arab nations.

(I only wish it was $3.10 per gallon. It's more like $4.10)

SunnyOne is just another Brain-Dead Obamabot with nothing to back up her meaningless statements. She just lies and spins the truth like all of Obama's Lap-Dog Minnions.

The CIA and U.S. military have, for decades, sponsored and created radical Islamic factions, including the Muslim Brotherhood, the Taliban and more,” Alex Jones and Aaron Dykes wrote on February 12.

Jones and Dykes conclude that in fact a complex series of destabilization efforts all across the Middle East are underway and ultimately these efforts will result in war in the region. “Control over the region, along with Central Asia, is believed to be essential for global domination. This aspiring New World Order will divide these nations in order to conquer them, even as they consolidate the major regions under a larger world government,” they write.

He didn't "win" Iraq, he merely succeeded in replacing its secular government with a fundamentalist Shiite one that's more sympathetic to Iran, killing over 100,000 innocent people, and destroying much of that country as well.

U.S. taxpayers will have wasted trillions of dollars on Bush's mistakes by the time his wars are over.

Well, Hell, he certainly isn't doing anything to easy the pain. He still has the moratorium on drilling off shore even though a federal judge says his moratorium is illegal. He has the EPA cracking down on anyone producing carbon dioxide. There have been no new refineries built in the US in decades. Perhaps he should get off his hands and do something.
