Shortages via policy are both directly increasing prices and over sensitizing the market to even the smallest supply disruptions; but taxes are still more (51.2%) of the price of gasoline than that earned by everyone from the retiree who bought stock, the geologist that found the oil, to the clerk that sold you your last tankful.

The places I've always gone are places I have to go. I need groceries, school, and my volunteer hours. If anything, I drive more now. I've needed some stress relief with my friends.

The Saudis did the same thing to the USA just prior to 2008 and look how Obamas financial coffers grew then , as they are now growing just prior to 2012 election.

I don't quite understand why gas prices are so high, especially since the price of oil hasn't really exploded.

here is why. very simple, publically true .

    simple publically true
and as well there are various news sources online where Obama has mentioned he believes Americans should be paying the slave owning Saudis ten dollars per gallon like the rest of the world is required to do.

Right, so because some websites say something that makes it true? Explain Bush holding hands witht he Saudi Prince. It means nothing.

The original Bush got our nation into this entire mess and our congress did nothing to stop him and also the American people still did nothing to learn about what kind of grave danger our poliicians of any party were literally dragging us blindfolded into .

Did you know Hillary Clinton told the world Obama is a muslim ? Her own party killed her chances at the presidency because she told the truth. Her husband had to divest his finances of all Saudi interests because she wanted to accept Obamas thrown bone to her for Sec. Of State. And there were other early signs years ago Bill Clinton, yes, he is no saint at all, was trying ( weakly ) to get American congress to shy away from agreements with Saudi interests. as well as other not so wondrous affairs of any sort? And yet before she could become Sec of State Bill had to divest himself of any financial public interests with the Saudis? Come on. Surely you can see the immense problem America faces caused mostly by our own politicians and severe lack of ethical introspection ? ( hoist by our own petard? )

TJ , these are politicians we are talking about here. They may not believe they are mortal men.

http://www.vanityfair.com/pol... and so on and so on the names are all interchangeable, true? Political party and aim is always the same, to gain power undeserved usually for financial greed of one sort or another.

And so the problem is all invasive. And so we must ALL find solutions which work to rid our selves of the parasites called politicians who rule our lives , just because we are stupid enough to let them and to ask them to do it.

Um, Obama is not Muslim. Other than that, politicians are a big part of the problem. Power and money is what rules them.

We don't have the money to drive for pleasure anymore, so much for the economy.

Thanks to the EPA "crucify program, the multiple refinery closures on both coasts have put both our national defense and our critical infrastructure in jeopardy per the hearing held in March by NHS subcommittees.
Thanks Obama for the warning about coal processing and natural gas EVERYTHING costs more.

15,000 in my state between the coal plant closures in the west and refinery closures in the east of PA. Ghost towns are left, schools unfunded, home values distressed, business closures and 15,000 families devastated.

Gasoline prices give me reason to plan my vehicle trips . I try to make one auto trip get as much done as possible. I plan where I will be passing on the way to work and take advantage of stops to make along the way . Also if there are items to take care of on the way home from work , then I make that trip count. I dont get out and drive to the store for 1 or 2 items , I make do with what I have at home .

NO, we need to increase the demand, and drive them through the roof, like the liberals did in 2008 so they could blame Bush for the high gas prices.

We were doing great until 2007 when the democrats took over, oh small minded one. Clinton left us in a hell of a mess, we were on the very verge of total breakdown, Bush despite 911 and Katrina, managed to keep the economy growing, employment low, the housing market from collapsing, until 2007. The democrats took over, and with in 6 months, they had managed to destroy all the work of the previous 6 years. Within 2 they had us back where we were after the Carter disaster. Now thanks to the pot head president, home ownership, poverty, and the middle class are all where they were in 1964, 48 years of growth destroyed in less than 6 years. The liberal goal of universal slavery is on the brink of being a reality for the first time in our nations history.

OMG that is such a ridiculous post it isn't even funny. Explain this, how can an economy as big as ours fall in a matter of six months? It can't. How could Clinton leave a mess for Bush when there was a budget surplus at the end of the decade? You really need to stop listening to Rush or Fux News, or whatever nonsensical right wing fantasy outlet you give your attention to. Anyone with half a brain knows that economies take years to rise and fall. Bush has done nothing but make this country worse, most people see that.

Since gas prices have been going up fast for the past ten years, I've been making a list of errands and doing them all in one day. If I forget something, it will have to wait until I have a few more things to do. One thing the gas prices have not kept me from doing is visiting my son who lives further north about a hour and a half away.
