I don't blame Obama for the high gas prices but if a Republican was president you can bet almost every news outlet and entertainment source would be blaming the POTUS.

Foreign policy, Moratoriums, attack on oil companies, anti-coal industry, stimulus money awarded to foreign fuel exploration while destroying our fuel drilling, restricted oil drilling in our country, pushing our gulf drilling else where, shutting down the pipe line from Canada, do you need more reasons?

Let me guess in Alaska!! Personally I think a better idea is a HUGE ad campaign showing what is possible that and the high gas prices will do one hell of a job. All you have to do is look at the beginning of Microsoft and the net.

One thing I thing that needs to be done is Americans need to conserve as much gas as possible thereby using less gas and that always serves to drive prices down.....

The problem with that idea is the oil companies. Did you know that they are selling OUR gas to China and other Nations. It creates an artificial demand and that is why we are paying the prices we pay. Demand right now is at its lowest in a ton of years but we arent getting any kind of price relief. Im in Sacramento and Im used to seeing huge SUV's but now its a ton of Toyotas and 4 cylinder cars. Even Hot August Nights in Reno was really slow.

I agree........I worked in the Gulf coast region for years where most the refineries locate.. I worked for a railroad and we did a lot of business with Exxon, Texaco, BP, and a lot of other oil companies. People don't understand that they can do pretty much whatever they want. They pay big money to their execs, and big bonuses. It's always about the money for them and they can control Congress whether it's Democrat or Republican.
