Sorry son. I didn't realize I was talking to a 15 year old. Don't take any of these political views to heart. It's all in jest because the country is being overrun by foreign corporations buying out our political leaders. Let's just hope we can stop the "buy out" before all hell breaks loose, so, you can enjoy your overpriced college education. This country will not kiss the butt of the Communist Red Chinese because we won't forget history( those who do are prone to repeat it). We won't let the bad-guys just buy-out our beliefs because a lot of us won't bite onto the hook of the enemy.

Hurricane season usually drives up gas prices, hopefully we don't have too bad of damage this year. This is not the year we need that especially with the drought we've been having this year. It could drastically slow the economy down even more. More sanctions on Iran could be aiding it as well.

No jobs, high prices on groceries and gas. It sure does hurt him.

What jobs would those be?

If you have skills, they are all over. Tech jobs, Sales jobs, management positions, research... What is it you are trained at?

Actually I have an excellent job in IT myself. If there are so many available jobs why is the unemployment rate so high? Are people just lazy and would rather sit at home and collect the government freebies?

I think some areas of the country are worse off than others, but I've found if people want to work, they can. It may require them moving or being retrained in another field, but if someone wants to work, it's out there.

Some are lazy and just collect their unemployment checks, but the majority either don't know how to look for a job, or aren't willing to relocate, or learn new skills.

That's just my opinion though.

Quite simply it's corporate greed....oil companies rake in billions of dollars in profits per quarter per company while being subsidized by the government. President Obama tried to get the subsidies taken away but the Senate in March 2012 voted 51 to 47 to kill the bill. Democrats unable to meet the 60 vote requirement and were shut down by the Republicans again. I would think it is worse news for the Republicans than for President Obama.

Oil companies get approx 8 cents on the dollar which is way below what most companies end up with.The government makes 5 x's that in taxation on that gallon of gas,so who is the biggest profiteer?. Another thing,the government gives no subsidies to oil companies!. Every company is allowed to write off a part of their expenses,but you are not being honest by just spewing out the BS you have been programmed to spew!.
