CNBC recently published an article called "Gadgets for the 'One Percent'" spotlighting some of the most extravagant, ornate, and exquisite items in the tech world, from a $2,800 pair of leather-and-wood sound-isolating headphones from Ultrasone to a $2 million personal submarine from Hammacher Schlemmer.

Some of these items are expensive for the sake of being expensive, like a $1 million Luvaglio laptop that can only be unlocked with a fitted diamond.

On the more practical end -- key word "more" -- is the $8,400 Samsung SUR40, a touchscreen desktop computer that's actually a desktop. Or how about the 60 megapixel Hasselblad H4D camera, or the $58,000 Red Epic-M video camera that can shoot at 96 frames per second.

There's even a $10,700 Vertu Signature cell phone that comes with an OnStar-esque "concierge service" and ringtones played by the London Symphony Orchestra. So, we've got to ask: which item is the most ridiculous of them all?

PLEASE look at our athletes for instance, or how about baseball players. Look at their salaries....How about all these young people that I mentioned on above. You will never achieve anything if you don't think you can. Please don't drink anymore of the Kool aid
that the Left is serving !
I know for sure that you can become rich in US, it's still much easier than any other country.
I came here with nothing & could create my own business, etc.
But, of corse, government trying to do everything to make it harder to earn money, harder for businesses, etc.
It's already very different country in 10-12 years...
It's really amazing how so many Americans are acting defeated without even trying.
This is actually a very recent condition. This is the first time in history where our very own President is dividing our country by his divisive speeches. America is in a terrible state.
Again, thank you and congratulations for coming to America.
These people were 99% before becoming the 1%:
"David Geffen - Dream Works
Lex Wesner - Victoria's Secret
Steve Jobs - Apple
Mark Zuckerberg - Facebook
Haim Saban - TV and Media Mogu
John Paul DeJorial - Paul Mitchel and Patron
David Green - Hotel Lobby"
Etc.
They don't hate just 1%, but any business owner, any person richer than them.
I would say it's 40% that hate the 60% (capitalists) of your country.

Deal with it, While only 1% of the 99% have a legitimate claim to being oppressed, the majority of them are just bandwagon riders.
