I don't know. I basically never answer the phone when it rings anyhow, unless it's a caller I already know I want to talk to, because I recognize the number. If someone called me to tell me that my sister died, I wouldn't recognize the number, and wouldn't take the call.

I only use a cell phone. What's the need for a house phone anymore? I got a missed call from a telemarketer like a week ago, but that was the first time in like 4 months. The solution is simple: hang up.

I don't see why people get so mad about it.. There are other things out there to be pissed off about. Like Priuses & mini-vans doing 10 under in the fast line with a fat line of cars behind them.

I like to use my house line to call other landlines. My cell phone plan charges more for calls that are not made to another cell phone.

I have had caller ID in my home/cell phone since 1999 and I know how to use it. I haven't taken a single unwanted call in 13 years.

It is about as effective as any thing else the government has done. 5 billion dollars and a 5% success rate. That's good enough in the eyes of our government.

I finally tried to sell the telemarketer what I was selling.
