This is a quote from a SH .....

"Frank is reflecting a lot of things we here on SH with any kind of common sense have seen going on for some time. Nothing really new, but he's courageous enough to admit the faults and present a rational alternative viewpoint to the craziness of the religious right."

This sounds remarkably just like the stuff I hear being said about Rush......

Makes me think both parties are corrupt, drunk on power, and messing up the country.....time for a change...a completely new government...a new group...SOMETHING to stop the fighting.

President Pelosi Wants to Regulate Rush With New Word for Fairness Doctrine!!

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is supporting legislation that will force the Federal Communications Commission to “promote diversity” on the airwaves – a move many see as a stealth effort to regulate conservative-dominated talk radio without bringing back the controversial Fairness Doctrine.

Pelosi, has thrown her support to an amendment in a Senate bill that forces the FCC to explicitly “take actions to encourage and promote diversity in communication media ownership and to ensure that broadcast station licenses are used in the public interest.”

The amendment has become known as the DURBIN AMENDMENT, after its sponsor, Senate Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin, D-Ill.
The amendment is clearly an attempt to REVIVE THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE – an unpopular FCC regulation removed in 1987 that forced broadcasters to grant equal airtime to opposing political viewpoints.

“Its clear to me that Democrats, having failed in their frontal assault on talk radio in America through the Fairness Doctrine, are now shifting strategy to a form of regulation that is essentially the Fairness Doctrine by STEALTH!” Pence, R-Ind.

It is SO good to see a rational, reasonable Christian say what so many others are saying about the hijacking of the Republican party.

The only way Republicans can save their party now is to renounce to exclusionary, faith-based politics that have destroyed them.

I hope the neocons turn on him with a vengeance, and give him a good stoning, because like he says, 20 million fanatics are nothing to get excited about, and the Dems can maintain a stranglehold on the country's leadership for a long long time. Rush, Hannity, Coulter, Ingraham,.... keep up the good work!

He supported Obama because he is too stupid to do his research and find out what Obama was about before he voted for him. Watch the video on www.howobamagotelected.com

He was not blinded like those of you who only see through the eyes of the Limbaughs, the Coultergiests, etc.etc. He's what happens when you use your OWN mind and intelligence, my kind of conservative!

Frank Schaeffer is absolutely right. Rush and his followers are extremists. Have you noticed that fundamentalist extremists (the majority of whom seem to believe they are "Christian") have a lot in common with fundamentalist Islamic extremists? For instance in their regard to evolution -- they do not want it taught in the schools. In their corner would be the Islamic extremist countries -- for instance, evolution cannot be taught in Iran. Out with science and back to the dark ages. An extremist is an extremist is an extremist! It's difficult to read some of the posts because it is frightening to see how many seem to follow this path. Franch Schaeffer is a breath of fresh air and a ray of light. A good and decent man; God bless him.

The republican party needs a clear new leader who isn't part of the old boy brigade. They need to present themselves as more the whiny little finger pointers, admit they had a part in our current troubles and present solutions not accusations.

In a word I am asking them to be responsible.

As one who is not affiliated with either party I can only say this, "both sides do more complaining about the other than solving problems. Both liberals and conservatives have their cry babies and whiners, eratic idealists and far side pushers."

I am no longer surprised by the opinions of either side.
