Brown served her year-long prison sentence for violating probation after several arrests, including assaulting her Brooklyn neighbor with her BlackBerry and throwing hair-extension glue at a beauty-shop owner in Florida when he told her the shop was closing.
While in prison, Foxy was often kept in solitary confinement for being uncooperative and fighting with other inmates.

A combination of Celebrity. The press certainly "has something to cover" with the presidential debates/election, war in Iraq, economy/markets, pope visiting America, Olympics in China...

You make a good point - I asked my daughter who she was and she said she's a rapper - I said that she's getting out of jail - my daughter (who listens to nothing but rap) replied - she was locked up? Obsiously not missed!
