Look how fast the libtards fell for global warming now they saying wait a minute we need more time to study this. Libtards doctored up studies on weather how many times even changed the wording on the weather warming. Obama was ready to jump on with cap and trade just a excuse to tax us. Now libtards trying to poke at fox on weather this is just great for the evening laugh. fred sanford bigg dummy

Fox is right but for the wrong reasons.
Wind farms cause warming because they slow the winds which make the earth's natural cooling system.
RIp the fan out of your computer and you will see a similar effect, CPU over heating because you have slowed the cooling winds inside.

If proponents of alternative fuels were smart, they would jump on this. My guess is that using a fossil fuel driven drill going through rock would raise the local temperature even more. We know that it raises water temperature. Plus refineries are hot too. Using Fox's own logic, you should show that wind is less harmful than oil.

Parkman of course is biased. The Fox and Limbaugh clips said nothing about global warming and mentioned only local warming. Their object was to show a side effect of wind farms, not to discuss global warming.

Nice try. Check the opening of the first fox clip at 23 seconds in. The douchebag specifically mentions global warming. Their goal was to ignorantly attack something their masters oppose.

Thinking is just not for you liberals is it . Why let FACTS get in the way of a good story – wind farms have been proven to raise temperatures near them by 1.5 degrees . FNC did not create the studies that prove this to be a FACT but why let that get in the way , liberals do not need to know the facts and can jump to their feet armed only with hate and a target
Man Made Global warming is a political myth . Liberals support it as a means to keep the US economy down and force us to be involved with other nations

Those neanderthals must have had very highly developped industry 30 thousand years ago to start melting the ice in Europe and that is why they are extinct now. The same will happen to us if we keep it up.

by that account we should stop paving roads and stop driving cars fueled by fossil fuel, because all that causes local temps., to rise also. But dont tell that to them because they will say no way those things dont cause temps to rise.
  • Marek aneed2know 2012/10/16 21:51:04

Interesting take. Since you say that modest rise in local temperatures are not a cause for concern and other things using fossl fuel also increase local temepartures and we should not stop using them then coal fired electric power plants are also OK. I would take it further, coal fired plants are more efficient and the power produced cheaper thus more beneficial to the economy then we should continue to use them. 0bama war on coal does not make sense unless his goal is to cause economic collapse.
That said I am all for alternate energy ources as long as the electricity is no more expensive than from the classic power plants.

What is the global temperature if not the average of all local temperatures?
Interesting how the coal fired plants do not have the same effect as the windmills.

Nah. I genuinely find it funny the lengths some people will go to push their conspiracies. NASA being complicit to some sort of misinformation about the definition of climate vs weather? It's science man. Not opinion. I'm not pushing your buttons at all. It's genuinely funny that someone rejects such widely accepted fact so it won't interfere with their own manufactured reality. I just hope your not teaching that potentially debilitating habit to children.
  • Marek Telly S... 2012/10/17 01:45:03

Ah, but I did not say NASA was complicit, I merely stated that as an agency dependent on government funding it tends to think twice before contradicting the official line.

some please tell the guy who used 1.5 degrees as a starting point that he is wrong utterly wrong and that is not what the scientist said who did the study.

what he said was between 2000 and 2011, immediate surroundings of the wind farms rose an average of 0.72 degrees Celsius between 2003 and 2011. The effect was most prominent at night.

I read it and it seems to prove that windmills indeed cause local temperatures to rise on average by .72 deg C. That makes it about 1.3 deg F. Close enough to 1.5 deg. F for practical purpose. The global temperature is the average of all local temeperatures so if they raise so does the global one raise.

    Quote:
"To understand the potential impact of wind farms on local weather and climate, Zhou’s team analyzed NASA satellite-derived land surface temperatures of regions around large wind farms in Texas for the period 2003–2011. The researchers found a nighttime warming effect over wind farms of up to 0.72 °C per decade over the nine years in which data was collected. Since the spatial pattern of warming mirrors the geographic distribution of wind turbines, they attribute the warming primarily to wind farms. In addition, the year-to-year land surface temperature over wind farms shows a persistent upward trend from 2003 to 2011, consistent with the increasing number of operational wind turbines with time."

Libtards got dumber. Fox commentator was making fun of global warming believers and Rush correctly pointed out that windmills have small local effect. Those two idiots commenting in the video accuse Fox of making things up conveniently forgetting that it was the global warming proponents that were fudging up data to suit their theory of global warming until someone had had enough and blew their bubble up.
