Fox News Thinks "Wind Farms Cause Global Warming", Has Fox just got dumber?

Must be a slow news day, or people are just bored waiting for the debate tonight.

I figure with bama, puklosi, reid, fwrank, boxer, gore, biden, wasserschultz that they are the ones causes all the hot air!

Fox is right but for the wrong reasons.
Wind farms cause warming because they slow the winds which make the earth's natural cooling system.
RIp the fan out of your computer and you will see a similar effect, CPU over heating because you have slowed the cooling winds inside.

If proponents of alternative fuels were smart, they would jump on this. My guess is that using a fossil fuel driven drill going through rock would raise the local temperature even more. We know that it raises water temperature. Plus refineries are hot too. Using Fox's own logic, you should show that wind is less harmful than oil.

Parkman of course is biased. The Fox and Limbaugh clips said nothing about global warming and mentioned only local warming. Their object was to show a side effect of wind farms, not to discuss global warming.

FNC did not create the studies that prove this to be a FACT but why let that get in the way , liberals do not need to know the facts and can jump to their feet armed only with hate and a target

But local ambient temps have nothing to do with global warming. That's just dumb.

by that account we should stop paving roads and stop driving cars fueled by fossil fuel, because all that causes local temps., to rise also. But dont tell that to them because they will say no way those things dont cause temps to rise.

Interesting take. Since you say that modest rise in local temperatures are not a cause for concern and other things using fossl fuel also increase local temepartures and we should not stop using them then coal fired electric power plants are also OK. I would take it further, coal fired plants are more efficient and the power produced cheaper thus more beneficial to the economy then we should continue to use them. 0bama war on coal does not make sense unless his goal is to cause economic collapse.
That said I am all for alternate energy ources as long as the electricity is no more expensive than from the classic power plants.

what he said was between 2000 and 2011, immediate surroundings of the wind farms rose an average of 0.72 degrees Celsius between 2003 and 2011. The effect was most prominent at night.

I read it and it seems to prove that windmills indeed cause local temperatures to rise on average by .72 deg C. That makes it about 1.3 deg F. Close enough to 1.5 deg. F for practical purpose. The global temperature is the average of all local temeperatures so if they raise so does the global one raise.
