Fox News again accused of airing misleading video

For the second time in just over a week, Fox News is coming under fire for misusing old news footage. The latest flap is leading some people to charge that the cable news network is intentionally misleading its audience, while Fox claims a "production error."

Wednesday's incident occurred when Fox News host Gregg Jarrett mentioned that a Sarah Palin appearance and book signing in Grand Rapids, Michigan had a massive turnout. As footage rolled of a smiling and waving Palin amidst a throng of fans, Jarrett noted that the former Republican vice-presidential candidate is "continuing to draw huge crowds while she's promoting her brand-new book,'' adding that the images being shown were "some of the pictures just coming in to us.... The lines earlier had formed this morning."

so what??? is this important in the scheme of things..It might be an error and wrong but I know of many videos showing Obama campaigning that have been used since.. who cares.. it will all come out in the wash and the only reason the liberals are complaining about this is because they cannot stand a down to earth person like Sarah Palin being popular ..especially while their prez is going down the tubes..it is as obvious as the nose on our face but they always pretend otherwise..Let's talk about something important like the health bill and the Global Poverty bill and the cap and trade and all the other crap the progressives are trying to shove down our throats..

    This is news?

Fox has ALWAYS used misleading and false reports and footage. And people are just now beginning to take notice? But while I do not wish to detract from the flap over slanted Fox propaganda, I do wish to remind readers that Fox is by no means alone. All the MSM outlets are guilty of falsifying their reports, just that some are more flagrant about it than others.

My computer won't let me into the link provided, but old footage is used all the time. All the networks do it, so what's the flap about?

Well The line I saw was the right one. If they showed the wrong one they must of realized their mistake because the one I saw was people talking about her book being autographed. I am sure Msnbc or the other low life media will try to make some big deal of it in hopes they can get ratings.LMAO wont work they all suck!

I saw the video, and they were accused of making a misleading video because they were being misleading. For a second, you were able to see Sarah Palin at one of her appearances on behalf of her book, but the crowd wasn't as big as the crowds she received while running for Vice President, so they showed a clip of her from the campaign trail to make the release of her book look a bigger deal than it really is.

That entire show is a 'production error'. "Robot Monster" has fewer flaws than FOX News.

If they were using old film footage, that was foolish. But a woman called into Mark Levin's Show and said she had been to the book signing and that there were thousands of people who showed up, if I recall correctly. She also said that all the media were there.

They admitted the mistake. Good for them. I don't see anyone else in the LSM admitting to their mistakes.
