One student is in custody. Social media yesterday warned of the oncoming tragedy. We really should get more people involved in seeing stuff like that to report it to take it seriously. It breaks your heart to see these kids harmed. I pray for the lost, the harmed and their families.

When are these adults going to realize that their guns need to be locked in someway to render them unable to fire? As responsible gun owners, it is our resposibility to make this type of occurance very, very difficult to happen, if not impossible. Just like the 9 year old kid last week that took the gun to school in his backpack and the gun that is loaded, fires, and a little girl shot.
What in the hell are these gun owners thinking???

I've got a Gun Safe, before that I had my guns "stashed" in custom built furniture compartments in such a manner that they were readily accessible and just didn't let anyone know I kept them in the house. Had my .38 in my night table since 1977. Only my wife and I knew.

How did the school have any kind of control, if this kid strolled in with a weapon. What has that got to do with being a Liberal, The major concern of most Liberals, is that Gun ownership be conducted in a responsible manner by everyone. I'd like to see people take Continued Education courses every so often, 2 of my closest friends are Gun Dealers and Fire Arms Instructors, they've even suggested such courses. Owning Guns, especially Hand Guns is an important responsibility, there are too many people that take it "lightly."

There are four shot and living. There are families struggling with hurt children and lost children. There is the shooter that must live with it. Prayers are for both the living and the dead in my faith.

I don't claim to have any faith, but I will pray for ALL the People involved. This tears me apart, every time I hear of stories like this. I got in my van this afternoon and heard about this tragedy, I had to pull over. My emotions "kick in" and my hands "cramp."

So sad, sad for the families of the victims, sad for the students whose lives are forever changed by violence, sad for the disturbed student who resorted to murder to solve his problems, sad for our society that has gone arwy.

No what led to this horrible tragedy was all the gun violence and disrespect for human life in movies, video games , bad parents, kids who bully, bad thoughts, negative attitudes, and on and on. A gun doesn't just pick itself up and go shoot someone, a deranged or anger driven person does that! Grow up!

I'm going to look into what type of people this kid came from. Not that anyone can do anything at this point, I'm just curious. My biggest fear is that they may at some point in the future "ban" Handguns or even ALL Guns for the average citizen, that would be even worse, because the "bad guys" would get them and we'd have NO way to defend ourselves.

What Law or Act do you refer to ? Two Democrats from Ohio introduced the Brady Bill in 1987, what happened to that ? I read it and it sounds like a "cluster phuck" to me. I actually believe it may have done more harm then good. My last purchase at a Gun Show, I was told I had to wait for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to approved the purchase ? I have a "Carry Permit" and already own guns. The Dealer gave me the Gun anyway, told me to call the FBI and get a special clearence for future purchases ? That doesn't make any sense. They need a better system.
