She has done more than any other person to improve the resort economies in Spain and Mexico. And she did it while spending none of her own money.

She also did a lot for various vacation sites in the US without spending her own money.

I think she has tried to do some good .

She has worked with military families but has asked media not to focus on their lives and especially their challenges/ tragedies.

Michelle's "Joining Forces initiative" asks all 50 states to pass legislation by 2014 to help make it easier for military spouses to obtain professional licenses when they move. Since then, the number of states that have enacted measures to solve this problem has grown from 11 to 23.

Governors and legislators in these states have worked together across the aisle. They're coming up with solutions that work for their states. They're helping military spouses get to work while they complete any remaining state-specific requirements. Michelle is also asking companies to hire returning vets first when they are hiring. Many have agreed to do so.

Michelle Obama has organized and attended more events for and with military veterans and their families than any previous first lady, according to veterans groups.

I am making an assumption based on the opulence of her travel and accomidations, plus the number of people she took with her.

I am sure someone has figures on the relative spending of at least the most recent First ladies, and I would be interested in knowing what they are.

Michelle Obama is the size she has grown up to be. It's nothing to do with how she eats, she hasnt made major restrictions on any kind of food in the U.S. That is mostly a State decisions. She actually isnt really huge or heavy, she is a normal weight and size for a woman who gave birth to two girls.
